Sure that would solve the healers lack of attacks, but what about the lack of healing, healers don't really gotta do crap for healing and that is a problem. Healing just isn't fun in FF14 because there isn't really healing to be done past level 60.It's crazy to me that they could design PCT's combo system and got zero ideas of how to make healers' DPS more interesting.
Just giving healers a three hit combo with a job-specific finisher when completed would go a long way. You could have the AST/SCH finisher GCD be a small "use-it-or-lose-it" damage or crit buff while having WHM/SGE have a big damage finisher in the form of tidal wave or placing a temporary turret similar to rook that will attack for a bit before leaving.
All of this can be done in exactly two (2) buttons and would add a lot more flavor (such as bringing aero and stone back in WHM casts)

Why did this double post?

Where did my comment suggest anything about this? The issue with healers is multifaceted and my comment was addressing only one aspect.
Even if they theoretically managed to get healers to heal frequently, their boring damage button that is the same across jobs is inexcusable.
Is the strike over? Can I play healer again?
Both sides of this do need to be addressed, SE has a really dumb hatred of healers. Healers should need to heal frequently but when everyone is almost full health and such healers need their tools for dealing some damage, and maybe add some debuffing in there too.Where did my comment suggest anything about this? No, I specifically pointed out that there are multiple layers of higher-level content for those who are seeking more of a challenge (Savage, Extreme, etc.). It's the "base" game involving "normal" content that needs to be accessible to the entire playerbase. Now, if you believe that higher-level content is still under-tuned, that's it's own argument to make.
I'm genuinely confused where you even got "the entire game" from when you quoted one of my posts that was itself a direct response to someone focusing on "normal" dungeons. Or were you just putting words in my mouth that you knew I didn't say in an attempt to get a word in?
If history must be unwritten... Let it be unwritten. Become what you must...
Even at lower-level brackets, healers are in deficit over tanks on Light EU.
Guys I think we are encountering worst case scenario.. we can't have a case worst than that.. right? rrright?
That is the case on most servers.
Oh yes catering to people who don't want to put in minimal effort at all, people who don't want to learn how to heal. I am not talking savage or ultimate level healing. No I am talking just plain old casting Cure 2.No, I specifically pointed out that there are multiple layers of higher-level content for those who are seeking more of a challenge (Savage, Extreme, etc.).
