It matters not because the reality is, your tank philosophy isn't the average player's. .

Congratulations, you spent a paragraph saying exactly what I stated. You still need to find a tank that agrees with you, because they're needed as a role. There is no healer or dps leader of a raid that isn't more than a superficial figurehead that's appointed leadership. A tank will always have the option to enforce their authority and make others cater to them more than any healer and dps will. And the reason why my philosophy is different, is because I come from a game that had a community able to do the highest Elite content that had a smaller completion rate than ultimates. The three hardest PvE content achievements were completed by 8 people for one piece of content, noone else on US or EU finished besides 1 raid group. Another had around 24-32. 3-4 "free company's/static's" finished it. And another that had around 100-200 players as a completion rate. When it came to doing that content, there were less than 10 tanks capable of doing that content to the point people were paying the equivalent of a bil+ to a tank for 1 clear because they gatekept everything. The stats required, the mechanic knowledge of years of experience you'd need to handle certain thing for near an hour per run was not something hundreds of people could do on a whim. If those tanks didn't like you, you didn't clear. If you didn't meet their requirements, you didn't get into groups. I've seen tanks put their foot down before on a game. And the fact it can theoretically happen on any game is the reason I laugh when a DPS thinks they're important. I've seen DPS's break down and apologize in voice chat to get a clear because they flat out didn't have a choice. This game being as popular as it is, is a luxury, but it doesn't mean the underlying importance and impact of each role is different. The fact you /can/ get blackballed and forced to not complete content is enough to show where the power actually lies, regardless of it manifests.

Let me make it easy for you: Unsynched content. Does. Not. Matter. Say it with me a couple of times until it sinks. Unsynched content does not matter. At all.

Yeah. surely the party will surely survive continuous deaths during light party or pairs in EX1 because PLD used clemency to heal up the dodoheads. If you think Clemency usually salvages runs, you're completely delusional. Matter of fact: Tanks surviving already show mechanics. And PLD do not need Clemency for that.

The DPS can last more than 5 seconds and 5 seconds is more than enough for a healer to throw some thing as simple as an Afflatus/ED/Druochole/Lustrate. Single pulls are perfectly possible with a DPS tanking, so... nah, the healer can keep the DPS alive, even if it's at a expense the YPYT placed to begin with.

By the by: same world, puppet FC with one member.... posting (and upvoting yourself) with alts now, are we? This is taking a turn for the sad (already screencapped, so it's too late to hide lodestone profile).



Judging by the names of the alt's FC and it's house, it wouldn't be farfetched to assume they're also hoarding several houses (and let's hope it's not as bad as holding an entire district). Which also makes this person's egotistical and narcissist personality, clearer. A DPS can't pull ahead of a tank that can more than easily handle it but they're pretty free to contribute towards the game's housing scarcity too.

I already have little respect for them before checking Lodestone but, somehow, they manage to lose some respect I didn't know was left.

All that gil and they can't even buy a lesson on how to tank dungeons.

Congratulations for omitting the part where the comment is about how you can simply be replaced with another tank. Also, you (and that means you, the player, not the role) haven't cleared a single piece of current content without healers or DPS. It's clear for everyone you're not part of the all PLD run of TOP. You (again, the player) still need the DPS and the healers on EX and Savage (not that you'll be doing them anyways, busy farming submarine voyages as you are).

And where you come from doesn't matter at all. Because FFXIV, again, doesn't abide by the same rules. And regarldess of your role, what you as a player do while trying to clear current content is what will make the difference between clearing it before having to unsynch it and being blacklisted by most to avoid running into an incompetent buffoon. And how much you've been talking out of your ass in this thread makes anything you say about the "other game" lack any credibility. If you can get so many things wrong in FFXIV with such confident bravado, there is no guarantee you have any idea how things worked in that supposed "other" game.

And do you know what a tank that tries to enforce their authority upon the rest of the party reads? "You have been dismissed from the duty". That's what they read. And the party they try to enforce their will? They will queue, fill another tank in and clear the content without a single hitch.

What's laughable is that you think YOU are important. Tanks aren't a near extinct species. There's plenty to pick from, specially in roulettes. YOU, the entitled player, are dismissiable.

1) Once more, stating what was already said. Still ignoring the point that your job role doesn't hold authority.

2) The point is that every PLD that did the all PLD run of TOP, doesn't have to care about others. The fact it's possible is the entire point. Weird that every insult you try to throw, proves everything I'm saying is actually possible in the game.

3) Submarines make a fourth of the level of income I actually have. I can unlock all of my houses and you won't even see workshops build because it's not worth my time. I come from test server on my old game running content that the devs didn't even know could be finished or not. I don't waste my time optimizing for content that's been fed to me that a dev knows I can finish already. The high isn't the same as knowing you beat content in its original state, however bugged it was between visual tells, health pools, damage values, etc. People that push the envelope for off-meta strats that require extreme optimization and creativity are the only people that have my respect on this game because they used to be my peers before I retired ~5 years ago. I went from testing elite content to optimizing in-game income instead because it was drastically more fun dealing with the psychology of the playerbase and shifting demands and markets, than doing the same mechanics and dealing with a dev team that grew more hard-headed as the years went on that were eventually laid off after I left the game already.

4) "no guarantee you have any idea how things worked in that other game" I could link videos of people talking about me testing pvp, using my dps rotations in guide videos on a channel of one of my friends that has the most subs for our community in terms of PvE content (25k subs currently), or I could link the video of when I was in voice chat with the community manager and other testers having them spawn things for testing or the private discord channels we had for our testing goup. Not gonna derail the thread, but we can meet in game and toss links. I came to this game on vacation, you don't want me pulling out excel sheets and hours of parsing data again like my old days. I have 24 service accounts, over 50 personal and FC houses, retainers on over 40 worlds on this game that I manage, you don't want that effort being put in PvE.

5) Dismissed still doesn't solve that you have to replace any tank with one that agrees with you, or you're gonna be a dismiss cycle all day and never clear. You're just coping repeating yourself but can't get around the fact you need a tank.

1) Neither does your role. Because here we go by the player. If you fail as a player, another one will fill in. Simple as that. Tanks is the furthers from being the elite role. And YPYT constitutes a failure from the tanks' end.
2) I was kinda joking with the all PLD TOP run, but since you clearly have no clue: there is no all PLD TOP clear. You literally can't beat TOP without DPS. The fact alone they could clear it without healer was insane for everyone, and required to do a very smart way to bypass mechanics that, otherwise, are impossible to clear without a healer. It was the exception, not the rule. And, as long as DPS checks and enrage are a thing, most content can't be cleared without DPS, because tanks contribute nowhere the same amount of damage as DPS do. And the healer issue it's... well... you got plenty of threads and the healer strike there to pretty much highlight it.

3 and 4 are about the same: a bunch of vague and totally unconvincing lies. You're past the point of fooling anyone. But, by all means, keep embarrassing yourself. Or, at the very least, make your lies actually convincing. At this point, you're either a troll or you're just that delusional.

You'll see 19 of my characters leveled up to 80-90, all with rank 10-25 in Bozja, all with free companies matching this Obscura name. Then I want you to go to Halicarnassus, Goblet, Check Ward 11, Plot 6, 41,42, 55 as personal plots and check their FC. Then go to Ward 14 and see another 10 personal's with the same voidsent names. Then go to ward 7, subdivision, check the apartment building and see all 90 slots filled with voidsent and numbered voidsent names. Then go to Maduin, Goblet, Ward 11 and find another 8 personal houses with every small poolside taken, and another 4 voidsent personal names in ward 22. Then I want you to go back to lodestone, search "broker" under "all data centers" "class/job: marauder" and see the amount of Kuroki retainers. Then go to youtube and search "2 data center profits before peace treaty" to see a livestream of /most/ of those retainers and me pulling 400Mil out on the Voidsent character from my main forum account just in leftover sales, not even fully sold out yet. Now you tell me, 19 voidsent names, at minimum is 3 service accounts alone even if they were all alts. Who would rank up in Bozja 19 times on the same 3 accounts? How would I have 12+ personal houses on the same world on Dynamis when you can only have 1 personal house on a world per account with no ability to transfer personal house ownership like free company housing? How would I have 90 characters all on Hali for owning an entire apartment building if I didn't have at least 12 service accounts? You think I had 12 friends that I got to level up to 50 8 times? Or do you think I paid for 70+ job and msq skips for them in the mogstation? for accounts that aren't mine. I want to hear your EU explanation and see how far you want to go into denial before I have to sign into every account and post a screenshot of your forum post next to all of them in the yard.
