I don't know about you guys, but I'm playing a MMORPG. I don't want to be able to solo the main scenario. I want to have to put a party together, to really struggle to get it cleared. To buy potions and items and have to use them at the precise moment of the battle.

To enter capped areas and have to deal with having close to no abilities.

I don't want just the avatars to be difficult. I want every single main scenario mission to be like that. I want to have to climb this huge 20 floors tower with my group having to avoid the enemies because otherwise we're all dead.

I want to reach that one elevator on the top that goes down to the bottom making coming back much easier after you cleared it.

I want enemies that change forms and attack modes through the battle.

I want to have to desginate this one guy to kite one of the bosses around while we kill the other one.

I want to suffer through promyvions. Through airship battles. I want the challenge.

No, the companion NPC isn't a fellow player. I want to play with actual people. Coordinate a real strategy. Celebrate a real win. Not something you just clear by default.

I understand the main scenario and the NPC companion were designed in a manner so that anyone can clear it without the help of anyone, including DoL and DoH. I'm against this. I feel that if you choose to play the butcher from the butcher shop you shouldn't expect to be able to defeat the Legatus of the Garlean empire that can fight on his own the entire circle of knowing.
No. We already have lots of party content. Leave the main scenario solo!

Half os this list isn't accurate. Local leves solo? Lol I stopped there.

Second, you can list the available things you can do party only. Let's see which list stands out. Plus it's all endgame.

Leave main scenario solo! With a great story. Let us appreciate the cutscenes and story. If you want to rush skip everything., you get all the af's story for that..

Yes because you get into a party and you say:

"Hey, goldsmith, you make this part of the armor and you blacksmith make this part of the armor and me, the weaver, will finish off the whole armor, we'll all benefit from my local leve!"

You know damn well this isn't true, so yes it is solo.

Why do you think they took the time and effort to make everyone's character a part of the cutscenes that allows party play in some content? Sorry, you should either quit now or accept that Yoshida himself said he doesn't want the main scenario soloed but to give non combat classes a different perspective of it.

Then it better be much easier to get a group together for the main scenario. Again, I was never able to do Moon Reading at lv75. I had to level to 99, gear up, and solo that fight on my RDM to actually get rank 10. Being stuck at rank 9 for close to 3 years is not fun, and I don't want to have to go through the same here.

    * The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.

That's not a game's problem, I did Sandy, Bastok AND Windy from rank 1 - 10 well before the 99 cap. Do you actually seek out help? Have friends? I even did CoP (while it was capped) up to 5 times counting a sea mule I had to drag through.

It's easy to get a group together if you have enough friends willing to help, otherwise you can't necessarily blame a game being designed for groups and no one wants to help. The only reason it'll be hard is if people are still stuck in the "This is supposed to be a solo MMO" mentality and SE neglects to add a "seeking x,y,z" comment system like they added in XI.

Now we tread close to insults and I know the responses. So let me pretend I'm Joseph Joestar and predict what you'll say.

Duelle: I asked for help, but never got any responses.
Elexia: Ask harder. You should have spent even more time in Jeuno and Windy asking for help.

Duelle: My friend (Singular. I'm socially awkward and have a VERY irregular work schedule. It's hard enough for people to actually remember me, much less be around me long enough) was usually busy. Shell was usually busy. So no bites from there.
Elexia: lolgetnewfriends (because it's so easy, right? >.>)

Now, with the predicted asinine responses from you aside, there should be a way you can look for group for story content. Content finder would be a nice idea to implement, because as I said, it sucks being stuck at a certain part of the story. I went through 3 TAU statics to actually see the damn ending, because the groups kept ditching me to finish the story without me due to my irregular work schedule. So yeah, I got screwed hard by XI's story design. Sorry, but I'm never going to put stock into the whole "massive reliance on others" argument when said argument is largely detrimental to my experience in-game.
