I have been playing since 2014 and know the classes all go through changes. I even know that the devs just seemingly can't balance healers. I even know that since shadowbringers that classes been dumbed down.

I still can't wrap my head around this strike. This game don't pay you a living wage and you have freedom to play any class you want. Not to mention none of you have even played dawntrail yet to see if the changes even make sense. I mean is your hopes that they spend the next 13 days reverting changes and possibly pushing back launch date cause you don't agree with the changes?

Then the whining would be from the rest about a delay because a handful decided to "strike" based on info they seen and not even tried. How do you think healers will be perceived after that.

Not to mention, you do "strike" and enterprising players will be making a killing on gil selling healer queues.

I agree strike isn't the correct terminology, the right word is protest. But I think though that it is being used symbolically, as in, if you are going to replace the healer with lackluster tools that can absolutely replace them on other jobs (as that is the term used in the game), then they might as well not be there. As for the wait for it argument, I don't think it is right using that, as it is moot point given the feedback has been asked for. A protest is a means of feedback, it shows that the feedback you have been listening to over the years, depending on the size of the protest, isn't a good source of it; assuming feedback is even being heard. And from the likes of it, what was seen in the preview was enough to make that decision to protest... since the issues haven't been adhered to, the whole saying of for every spark there is it will eventually lead to a flame.

People selling runs? Sure let them, it only adds to how much of a problem the healer role faces.

Love the go-to response of ''just play something else'' as if this game doesn't run on a trinity based system where you need every role in DF to even get a queue to pop. One role being underplayed impacts everybody, and with some content you NEED healers to even get past the front door (i.e high end content, trials, raids). You're not fixing the problem by saying that, you're just swapping it out with another.

Yes, every job has been dumbed down, but to think healers are in the same boat as every other role is tone deaf. At least you get an actual DPS rotation, I just get to mash one button for 90% of an encounter with no stimulation or thought anywhere else. And I've had. enough.

So what is it? Can we choose not to play healer or are we forced to play healers to fill queues? Are we free to choose what we want to play or is it a problem when we queue as dps? We are tired of seeing the healer role be an absolute joke in this game. If you want an instant queue you are free to play healer.

And that's what theyre doing?
A bunch of healers have decided that the role is bad and aren't doing it anymore and are letting the devs know on the forums. Lets be real the only reason you are against this post existing is because you don't want long queues as a DPS, the you can play any class you want applies to you to? Why don't you play a healer then? You won't because you know its a boring role its as simple as that. Im a DPS main and don't really have a foot in this race and haven't for years now but I don't blame healers for quiting a bad role and then giving the devs feedback (which is the point of these forums.)

I think you're severely underestimating how much hate healers on here have already got for having an opinion that healers are bad, in fact the entire JP forums are against the EN forums opinions on healers. Not to mention in general healer role despite being arguably the most important role in the trinity has been mocked as the "girlfriend" role since MMOs started. I really doubt any healer mains in this forum would care if people started hating on them if this happened because they be too busy having fun with the fixed role.

Ok? Theres a free gil making grind for you to do, go ahead and play healer.
If that happened the devs would be extremely worried they already begged players to try Healers before when healers dropped down in players if it dropped down to the level where people had to be bribed to play the role the devs would probably start panic reworking the role.
