With Activision and Bungies recent wins against cheat providers it is time SE's

Maybe it's because I'm so casual, but I've never really understood people being so focused on anti-cheat systems, especially in an mmorpg. It's not competitive, it's not CS:Go or Overwatch or something. And also, I can't imagine it's THAT pervasive that it's affecting most players.

Combine that with how invasive anti-cheat systems have to be to be truly effective, and it's just not worth it for me.

I find it fascinating that it always seems to be the people that do not even engage with the content they complain about that have this almost obsessive hatred for the 3rd party tools they aren't remotely affected by...
Unless, and they're gonna hate me for saying it, they have something to gain from nobody being able to check their performance anymore.

Heck, I've been ostracized from an FC because I didn't want to use mods in that way.

If true you dodged a bullet by getting out of that FC, at least I hope you left. Pressuring people into something is one of the biggest red flags an FC can have, they're probably not very fun to be around.
