    They want to remove Raise from SMN? Sweet, they should replace it with another summon. Maybe something else that people really want.

    I think if you remove it from SMN you have to seriously look at removing it from Red Mage as well.

    Not removing it from red mage creates a scenario where clearly one choice is better for prog and it would appear they want to move away from that as much as possible. You could easily slot in something else though as a substitute.

    I say keep both ressurection and verraise, I have personally saved many EX and savage runs with a well timed caster res, otherwise all your going to do is open up a lot of hostility to healers in lower level/ prog content who die (due to being new to the fight or the odd mess up) or can't swiftcast res at that moment and then in a year or two we will have SE go "why will no-one play healer?"

    This, in no other role than caster do I have to consider progging on another job to then swap to the one I actually want to play (BLM). It's silly to me. Rez mage is not my cup of tea and SMN is a bit too smooth brained gameplay for me to enjoy more than occaisionally playing.

    Ideally I would want both smn and rdm rezzes axed; I picked a caster not a backup healer. But I could see them staying in the form of a 1min oGCD as a possibility. They keep their rez utility, but aren't dualcast spamming Verraise that way.

    I want the rez gone from both Summoner and Red Mage. I spent most of my time in the game as one or the other and hated having to hold on to my instant cast spell just in case I needed to rez someone. I also very much resent healers who refuse to rez if there is a Summoner or Red Mage in the party. I have run into far too many of these sorts.

    Get rid of it. Leave me to be the DPS I am.

    I'm seeing the pattern here. Some players want it removed because they don't get to use "swiftcast", and others want it removed because they don't want the button/expected to use Rez.

    Maybe what needs to happen is the removal of "Swiftcast" as a universal 'buff', change raise, verraise, resurrect, ascend, egeiro, to be instant cast, but different CD's. With healer CD's being 18 seconds(10 second cast + 8 second CD shifted) and DPS being 180 seconds. MP costs stay the same. This would make "Swiftcast" basically pointless for healers, and can then only be used for single casts (no dual verraise.)

    I think removing rez or swiftcast would be a mistake ultimately because people don't want stuff removed that they use.

    Ask healers about what happened to "mandatory" Stoneskin and Protect.
