????
It really isn't THAT bad and I have no idea how you got that from my post. For the most part they're just absurdly slow, but never will cost you a run.
Good, the worse players are in duty finder the more fun I get to have when I decide to heal lmaoAND WE WONDER WHY WE HAVE PLAYERS WHO FINALLY DECIDE TO FACE THEIR FEAR OF RUNNING WITH RANDOS... the one thing that bugs me about it is how the tanks don't have visible mits. I don't see any buffs show up on their party listing, so it's not inconceivable that a person just learning tanking via Trust doesn't realize that those buttons mean something.
I'm also unsure how true it is that the NPCs don't use AoEs, unless Gravity of the Seventh Dawn is now a single-target? (the AST Gravity is their AoE attack).
What? Thancred is an awesome tank. I run dps with him and double pull and he is on that stuff immediately.
Some of the NPCs stand in stuff but I haven't seen Alphi get one-shot on that boss. Are you dropping something on him?
Alphinaud healed the big pull at the start of Mt Gulg. You know the like 4 or 5 packs? I did that with Alphinaud.
As for them doing low damage, it's because they are trying to make the dungeon run last about 30 minutes and only do single target attacks. They want faster runs of 20 minutes or less to be something you get players for.Because in order to increase our Grand Company rank, SE wanted to make it feel like we were actually a commander/captain of something. So they took a long time and developed an NPC system where we "recruit" and "command" a squadron and tackle dungeons with them, commanding to stand/follow/attack.
That's all it was ever intended to be. The reason Duty Support does not work the same way is because it has a different purpose and we don't "command" the NPCs, so they act independently.
You mentioned squadrons, that's all. These were all said in order with the conversation that took place.
You asked why is it different when you play with your... squadron. But you are saying that clearly does not mean your... squadron.
What?
The only ones who seemed to buy it were the Crystal Brave grunts. And if you talk to them during the exile period, they'll make it pretty blatantly obvious that they're too scared shitless of fighting the Eikon Slayer to actually do anything about it.off topic but did anyone actually believe that the WOL had actually committed regicide
The crystal braves had sunk their teeth into the immortal flames which is why uldah itself was unsafe but both merleweb and kan-e-sanna both basically go “we always know it was bullshit and that was always our nations stance”
Like they fled to ishgard because they were being hunted in uldah but would the population have believed this random blue militia over the beloved WOL saviour of the realm
It always struck me as a plot point that didn’t really hold up to scrutiny
That's why when Urianger is not available for healing, I would prefer heal that dungeon myself. Alphinauld is a pretty bad healer. The main problem is, Aphinaud is the worst healer in gaming history! He doesn't heal me at all until I have less than 20% health. And the tank isn't much better.
Thancred can only deal one pack a time. Sometimes he can do 2 packs, but forget big pulls. G'raha is a better tank than him, honestly.
About DPSes, I always bring Y'shtola. As BLM she does decent damage. If I'm not DPS'ing, Estinien does good damage as well. Alisaie hits like a wet noodle and wastes Limit Break.
For me, S-E should just let us level squadron up to level 100. Nanasomi/Tewawa melting everything is way better than Y'shtola/Estinien.squadron is way better than trust especially when you get to mastery 5 on them. Honestly think SE should have went the route of Squadron's for at least ARR and HW for the MSQ. then moved to the scions helping out Stormblood and afterwards. Or at the least to include the mastery system with the duty support/trust npcs
Alisae’s only good feature is she limit breaks all the time. Caster limit break on mobs is always preferable to melee limit breakThat's why when Urianger is not available for healing, I would prefer heal that dungeon myself. Alphinauld is a pretty bad healer.

I think it's pointless to pick them for their DPS considering their performance are like a rubber band. Even Urianger will be useful dmg wise if you're playing badly because his Gravity casts hurts, and Death seem to always proc reliably.
