This is awful. People shouldn't have to jump through hoops to pay a subscription. SE needs to look into this.
I live in EU and I'm not able to use my Visa debit card either, I had to use Amazon pay which worked instantly (same card).

My address hasn't been changed since I made my account, and matches my card.

I guess with a website straight out of 1999 they wanted a payment process to match.
