Yo-Kai Event: BLU Major Griefing Problem

A thought:

Are we so starved for new content that the "new content" (i.e. Yokai rerun) is making everyone feel like they need to rush and absorb it all as soon as possible?

I don't remember this being as big of a deal in ShB's rerun, yeah you had BLUs but you were still able to get your FATEs done. I gave up after a few days not because I couldn't do FATEs but because the event was so dull. XD

So what is the difference between now and then?

The difference is that the Gold Saucer event and Moogle Tomes are right around the corner. So yes, there is a good reason to rush the Yo-kai event or you get into the situation where you have to grind more than one event at a time.

Didn't people ask for a more packed event schedule though? I find it a bit sad that it's turning into people trampling each other because FOMO.

I personally think it is badly planned out anyway.

We have two newbies in the FC who still have to complete the story. But now they basically have to grind Yo-kai, because the don't have any of the rewards. Then grind the Gold Saucer, because they don't have any of the rewards. And then grind the Moogle Tomes, because they don't have any of the rewards.
When are they going to complete the story?

Meanwhile I myself have all the Yo-kai weapons and mounts, have everything you can buy for MGP (and my MGP are also capped) and there is most likely nothing in the upcoming Moogle Treasure Trove I am missing.

So I have nothing to do - and they have to work overtime.

I mean - tbh nothing stopping anyone from just not grinding it all right now and waiting for a rerun. Moogle Trove items aren't exclusive to the event either for what I know.

There's usually just 1 item that's exclusive to the event unless they pull out all the exclusive rewards at once. Things like certain earrings, necklaces, or the ifrit jacket were moogle trove exclusives and usually 100 tomes. They also may pull out stuff that's been discontinued like certain mounts. The Falcon mount was part of a Stormblood subscription promotion in 2017 and it comes back sometimes for moogle event for 50 tomes. Still FOMO but it's not everything.

There's also nothing stopping higher level players from farming some of the tradable items for their friends, or doing that for gil on the Market Board. Of course only talking moogle event, not Yokai or Gold saucer.
