I am not sure if people saying "It looks the same. It must just be the lighting." are being disingenuous or blind. They have completely changes mouths, noses, fangs and in some cases eye shapes on many faces. Its not people being 'confused' by lighting.

Obvious sarcasm aside, yes, models have had changes in certain things, like nose, lips, etc.
But light and shadow can have a big part in how something looks.
And comparing the light/shadow from live version and the benchmark, the benchmark one doesn't look finished to me. Feels like there's something missing or something.
