    I noticed the game looks a little more stylistically similar to live by turning down gamma correction from 50 (the default) to 25 which leads me to believe there is a global under the hood setting that CBU3 can adjust to makes things a little better almost everyone.

    This is where I'm at. My elezen in game has wonderfully defined cheekbones and brow ridge and in benchmark he just...doesn't. He looks very round. If I wanted a round, smooth face I would have played a catgirl.

    they didnt maake it lighter m you can see on the arm on both that its just catchign light more, same with the hair, its not "flat" lightning anymore and youre just not used to it.

    yeah, it'd be really hard. consider that the head apparently has a ton more bones now, which will inevitably affect how headgear works with it. Are they going to be making double the headgear (one new, one old) so that it renders properly on the old models? If our character has new facial expressions, they'd have to go do them for the old facial meshes/rigging as well, basically doubling their work in any given cutscene that has us do more than "" or ":|" or ":[". And that's not even going into whether the bodies got any changes - I had just heard about how they basically completely redid everything involving faces online earlier.

    Out of curiosity I opened up my old Endwalker benchmark to get a proper side by side there vs the Dawntrail benchmark and like I've said in other posts I'm really unimpressed with the elezen "improvements". Filing off all their fun sharp features is not what I signed up for




    Please, my son, he's very sick. Someone took his brow ridge and cheekbones and mussed up his mouth. His skin seems to have a very jaundiced undertone as well - not sure if this is something that can be fixed by fiddling with skintone but just another thing that dismayed me.

    there are things they do absolutely need to fix, particularly actualy missing textures on au ra (im assumign they used an AI upscaler like how DLSS does and they didnt have a second pass) or some hairs highlights being changed (this shouldnt be too hard)

    but there are some people posting before and after pics here that i cannot tell the difference of

    I don't think there's a world where this is even remotely close, every single feature on the face is different, and it also looks like she was deaged about 15 years.

    It's not even that it looks neccessarily bad but that's not my character.
