The lips are definitely my most disliked aspect of the new models; There's no definition to them anymore and just look fuzzy and low-res. Same with my elezen's nose, which used to be wonderfully defined with the old lighting shadows but now almost disappears into his face. The lack of depth to shadows definitely hurts the look, even more so than the perpetual greasy shine to everything.

I feel like I will just be posting the similar thing in these threads, but the main thing like others have said that I dislike is the lips. In some faces they look fine, but in a lot of them they look weird, or have some creepy smile. My fish au ra has flat lips and no pout, and my sun cat looks like she has a creepy smile. I dunno, maybe it's just me. I'm not trying to be a hater or anything but I hope some things get changed before DT release lol

Definitely agree in the eye and lip departments. I could have sworn it was mentioned that they wanted to improve the look of the femra blank eyes back when they first started talking about the updates, but instead it seems like they've just extended it to everyone. Caps from the benchmark don't fix it at all, only thing that makes any difference is zooming ALL the way in. My astigmatism doesn't even know where to focus on the new eyes. I can live with the lip change on my femroe, but I really liked having a narrower lip option that didn't extend the color all the way to the corners.

My midlander character looks great with the graphics update! But the changes they made to my male viera? Completely heinous. How is this even acceptable? Why does he look like an aquatic freak that just crawled out of the ocean? Can he AT LEAST have his EYEBROWS back!?!

I've mostly noticed this on male viera characters. These are literally the newest models in the game & they really did not need to change like this.

Did you run him through the actual benchmark? Looks like the one on the right is in the middle of that fair skies/cloudy weather that cycles in the creator. It gives everything a shine like that.

This simply doesn't feel like a complete product. You can't even use a short hairstyle on midlander without your neck breaking lol. It needs to be addressed. Hopefully a statement comes out at least saying they hear the fixes that need to be made.

I'd like to suggest that the white skin shine vary with skin tone; on darker skin tones especially it looks very unnatural, like oil or water or something. Maybe soften the intensity of the whiteness or make the white warmer/cooler depending on the skin tone so it looks more natural?

The new textures look awful. I like textures now way better.
