SMN/SCH & BLM/WHM weapons should be glamour-compatible between jobs

Since they implied in the liveletter that the only reason they're not allowing cross-job weapon glamouring is the high possibility of it looking weird during animations and not, y'know, lore friendliness (which by unrestricting artifact gear I think has gone out the window doing Tony Hawk tricks), they could let us glamour these very similar weapons between jobs.

BLM and WHM should share the staff weapon type for glamour purposes, while SMN and SCH would be able to share their books between themselves.

Agreed, with all the weapons sharing the same basic models too, as it would let me have some cool canes for my BLM.

I still have the Vanille's WHM wand.

Back on my sprout days many years ago I went to the store to find something that I could keep glamouring consistently. I saw that weapon and bought it, but even though the shop features a disclaimer "This item cannot be used as a glamour for two-handed conjurer's arms." I didn't know they simply stopped getting 1h weapons after a while.

They could at the very very least label those 2 store wands into 2h weapons. The animations are even the same, only thing that changes is the sheathing method.

Actually IDK if WHM/BLM even gets "2-hand" as a nomeclature anymore, isn't just "WHM arms" and "BLM arms" now? I think DNC's used to be labeled as something like "Throwing weapons" before it was changed too, but might not be remembering right.

I'd very much love to use those Scepters and Wands as a glamour to my Staves & Canes, purely because their larger sibling clips horrendously.

I use my moogle wands+lv1 glam shield as a comical form of defiance against Canes in Save the Queen contents (because they have a fixed stat sync in there :P).

This is hardly something I think they will do, mostly just so there is no exceptions on weapons, even so I'd not mind it being added since they are the same kinds of weapons and would not break for animations.

As for the wands? yes please, there are way too many good looking wands for them to be labeled useless and left to rot like that, the animations are the same minus the sheathe and even then I'd not care if they did end up on my back or at least be animated as if they went on my back, I just want to use my cute wand of frost again....

Are we for sure this won't be the case? The way the slide was worded I feel like it might be possible that it'll happen. SMN/SCH for sure it'd be easy, but BLM/WHM I think are iffy since the battle stance/victory emotes are tied to weapons and BLM and WHM clearly use different versions of those emotes but SMN and SCH use the same. I guess we'll find out next month.

Only if the weapon is tagged for Arcanist use. Most high level books are locked to either job. The devs are pretty consistent with labeling them, too. Codexes are always for Scholars.
