    A New Year, huh?

    The Job Action Trailer of Dawntrail will determine if we get back our Kenki Engagement from 6.08 back or we're doomed to 2 or 3 more years of Spamming Shinten.

    As for the Future Anticipating Changes is a necessity, though clever would it be if Kaiten just turn the 50% Bonus Damage into Direct Hit, thus most of the Big Attacks also would look Big even though The Number might be mathematicly smaller, but as long as Kaiten boosts Weaponskills, it will feel Good.

    I mean.. if you had the choice of playing SAM with a slightly nerfed Kaiten or Spamming Shinten as you do since 6.1

    What would you choose?

    I'd choose the Direct Hit Kaiten since then, I finally can play and enjoy SAM at the Same Time again.

    I just saw a Vid by MrHappy about an Interview with Yoshi-P regarding the oversimplification of FFXIV and yeah but like my message with this thread, they have to look at the Jobs more individually, not "just do something" about the 2min meta and gg..

    imo ofc they should bring back Kaiten, but bring back other jobs depth or even reworking the pre Shadowbringers Trust Dungeons reworks again because let's face it ARR doesn't sell new players on an adventure anymore :/ and even some Stormblood Dungeons took a hit.

    though regarding of consistently Fun Jobs in FFXIV as of Patch 6.57:
    DRG,DNC,RDM,WAR

    quite honestly, they'll most likely make the game more appealing to the youngins more so than vets.

    hmm idk.. imo they should spice up ARR and pre-SHB again, scrap the pre-SHB Trust Dungeon additions and program the pre-SHB to be able to run unmodified pre-SHB Dungeons! I prefer the old versions of dungeons/bosses since they sold me on an adventure..
    Stone Vigils 2nd Boss used to require someone to use cannons to interrupt an mechanic and the final boss teached the importance of huge damage, since you could skip phases if you were good but well not anymore~ and don't get me started about the Castrum Meridianum Finale of 2.0.. ok in short it has become an even more waste of time.

    It's been 2 years

    I think we saw in the Benchmark Trailer the Single Target Ogi or the lvl100 Skill of Samurai (The Cone Effect looked really strange though.. like another Animation for Tenka Goken?? Noo..).. sadly he forgot to boost it with Kaiten.. but jokes aside from What I've experienced regarding Samurai and Kaiten that Hissatsu Kaiten might be the most requested Skill to return in FFXIV history and I highly doubt that the Devs can effort to be this ignorant.. remember when they laughed about Jumping in Final Fantasy? Yes, those were different People but the attitude strikes an familiar cord...

    If Kaiten doesn't return, it means to spam 2 or 3 more years Shinten.. and if the Blue Buff from Viper just boosts the following Weaponskill.. Ohh we will have a Big Problem about that!

    I think The Shinten Spam should not only our main Arguement towards the Kaiten Opposers but also the Meme we should drum until Kaiten is back.

    I mean else do we spend Kenki on? Kyuten? yeah that's the AoE Shinten Big Deal right there.. and Senei aswell as Guren get covered by Ikishoten due to the 2mins anyway

    I also love how so many Content Creator loath and rant about the 2min meta but never go into detail: like NIN's Mug/TA Changes or the Shinten Spam? I dare the assumption that if they didn't removed Kaiten, we as Samurai Players would've smooth sailing through Endwalker, because the Content might've lacked challenge to play through but still would've been fun.

    The SAM in the benchmark uses kaiten before the camera swoops over to them. You have to watch it back at .25x speed but yes, it looks like kaiten is returning for DT.

    That's Ikishoten they're doing which also has kind of spins but not the same.
