I am afraid you have been misinformed. The tipping scales mechanic isn't very cool at all, and it doesn't make the raid any more thrilling than without it.Hello, thanks always for the wonderful gaming experience!
I’ve just done Aglaia for the first time, and I learned afterwards that this scale mechanic was skipped in the final boss and it often happens nowadays, but apparently this is the coolest part of the entire battle. I really don’t wanna say this, but Aglaia didn’t feel as thrilling as the Nier raid is, and I feel it might be due to the skipping of the scale? Would it be too much to ask to include that part every time? I wouldn’t really want to find 23 people for a minimum level experience on PF…
Thank you for your tireless work!!! I love the game! <3

It does not matter if the mechanic is thrilling or adds anything cool or meaningful to the fight. The problem here is that it is a visual highlight of the raid serving as the finale of one of the most aesthetically pleasing bosses with one of the best themes in the game.
For very similar reasons we had item level cap introduced to the 6.0 final trial to ensure the story finale doesn't feel cut short and the NPCs get to say their whole thing. Likewise, skipping the scales mechanic means newcomers will not be able to see the final cutscene of Nald and Thal splitting into two entities for that mechanic - a highlight of the 6.1 trailer.
Visual thrill matters, otherwise we could just be fighting grey cubes with cast bars and that would be okay for us, no?
