This game has an absolutely ridiculous amount of outfits you can acquire in game. Complaining because the company puts some on the store for profit is absurd. The company exists to make money.https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodes...30b126edc0278a
Thats a pretty cool set they just added, wish we could unlock via gameplay.

The issue isn't quantity, it's quality. It's very apparent that the Mogststion items (outside of the NPC cosplays because one item problems) are more interesting and of a higher quality compared to in game items we can get. Some are also questionable as to why they weren't just rewards for new content (Shadow Wolf, Cruise Chaser, the upcoming Lopporitt moon mount). I don't really care either way that there's a cash shop but we should be receiving the same quality of items in game as we get on the Mogstation. It's depressing that I get more excited for Mogststation items than I do in game item releases when it should be the reverse.

Pretty sure the events of 2023 (including Blunderville and the 10th Anniversary Moogle Treasure Trove) and the Island Sanctuary rewards were quite a bit when it comes to quality items you can obtain in game. The issue isn't quantity, it's quality. You mean the casual vacation outfits lol, while the high fantasy clothes in a FINAL FANTASY game remains paywalled, ok.
Not to mention some of it is just bare minimum anyway. Like the island tanga.. another set of panties. Yay.
The EW raids/dungeon gear for healers/casters. Robe, robe, robe, dress, robe, robe. Some of them undyable too. So much variety!
Or how about how the raiding/dungeon gear for ranged pretty much is just machinist gear.
In an expansion that is bone dry in terms of content of course y'all would defend this shit lol.
God forbid we as the players paying a subscription have INCENTIVES to do content.
Oh sorry I forgot to mention HD version of Spring bottom shorts, some more booty shorts, jeans, non cut up peacelover's jeans, a reskinned extreme survival's shirt (the polo), the only unique gear being the sheppard set and the isle worker's/explorers tops. I'm not even counting the gloves which are just reskin of others and we have a bunch of those already in the game, the isle torque which is just the Summer flame's/Drindil (or however you spell it, idc to check rn) torques, and I could go onto the shoes but I'm sure you get the point.
The point being, we have oodles and oodles of new vacation gear, sure, but it doesn't change the fact that criterion has no rewards, the dungeon glam has just been reskins/undyable/little variety, the raid gear has been samey, and this mogstation set that would've been fine as an in-game reward literally anywhere else and instead it has a price tag on it.

All I see is that people use the release of new mog items as a excuse, again, to rant about topics that has been talked continuously about instead of keeping on existing threads to consolidate feedback and concerns about these practices.
But hey, new items in the shop and time to stir the rant pot again, don't we? Wouldn't be General Discussion without it.

This is so dishonest, man lmao we get multiple versions of the same generic modern loungewear, or a polo shirt, or shorts or yet more mens office-shoes and the one nice fantasy looking set of gear is yet again paywalled.

And the Happiness Set cannot cover it being a 'fantasy looking set'?
Not that I dismiss the negative sentiment about mog items, but coming over like there is nothing to go for in the game is absurd.

happiness set is nearly 2 years old (6.05). How many modern outfit did we get ingame since that? Sure you could add a few other, but in the whole, Modern/joke outfits (pajamas, santa and sentai outfits are what I call joke outfits) have been what we mostly got ingame. We don't say they don't exist, we say we want more balance between nearly all the fantasy stuff in the mogstation and nearly all the modern stuff in the game. Put some of the fantasy stuff in the game and some of the modern stuff in the shop. And the Happiness Set cannot cover it being a 'fantasy looking set'?
