It's not actually "endlessly whining". I was just mimicking your tone of inherently insulting anyone who happens to have a different opinion than you (by trying to act as if your opinion regarding "meaningful content" was somehow absolute objective fact). Acknowledge that comments are purely your own opinions, and I respond in kind.

Generally speaking, though, I think the amount and type of "criticism" people give is a good sign. There are people who will make particular critiques from time-to-time alongside a variety of other comments. Heck, I'm known for being a "pro-FFXIV" poster around here, but if you go through my history, you'll see I've offered criticism of things like the glamour system, chat setup, etc. at various times. On the other hand, when you see the same person making new posts on a regular basis (sometimes day after day after day) all completely trashing everything about the game...that's when you've got someone who probably just really needs to step away, either for a while or for good.

Agree. I will die on the hill that the Nier raids are the worst Alliance raid series we've ever gotten. The wipes stopped week 1 (just like Myths), the fights are very long and very boring, the story is hollow nonsense, and it's literally a giant advertisement. I cannot believe to this day that people will defend a non-Final Fantasy ad that replaced a major expansion feature. At least Monster Hunter had the decency to be an *extra* trial, not a replacement of something.
Welcome to the world! Where you get to interact with a wide variety of other human beings, each of whom can have their own opinions which may be different from yours! For the record, I still enjoy whenever Alliance Roulette gives me either Copied or Tower, I absolutely love the music, I find the fights themselves fun, and that "advertisement" has in turn translated into dozens of hours of *more* fun playing the NieR games (which I hadn't even known existed). Also, I play FFXIV primarily for the story and the music, but I also fully expect only the MSQ to be the "serious" story. The side-stories I don't take that seriously and just enjoy them for what they are. My advice - play the game that's been created instead of being bitter when other human beings made a game different than the one you wanted them to make.
