Please check out the forums, though you might need to go back toward the beginning of this expansion to see how it was just absolutely filled with comments tearing apart the gameplay (and specifically the difficulty). Here's the link: https://www.bungie.net/en-us/Forums/...=0&d=0&lang=en I know it's difficult when you're in the position of not actually being familiar with the game, and so you poke around and find a few people's responses and start getting the impression they're the norm. Or perhaps try doing a search for "Neomuna" specifically (the zone where the difficulty increase was most pronounced) - I found these threads almost instantly: https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheG...parent_reason/ https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheG...regardless_of/ https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheG...a_over_scaled/
Also, for clarification, the general difficulty progression for Destiny 2 is Normal --> Hero --> Legend --> Master --> Grandmaster, though different types of activities tend to only have some of those levels available, not all. So, despite being called "Legend," it's actually meant to be rather middle-of-the-road difficulty-wise.
Oh, the main point of the article I linked was about how Bungie had to lay off ~100 of its employees because of how many people have left and pre-orders came in a whopping 45% under expectation. As I said, it's different when you're trying to piece the puzzle together on the spot rather than having watched it being assembled, but the overwhelming consensus was that Bungie specifically catered to the critics and streamers this expansion...and killed the game for almost everyone else. Yes, the "content creators" will praise the gameplay - meanwhile the other 99% hated it and 2/3 of them quit.... (Edit: Yes, those numbers are hyperbole, don't take them literally. You get the point...)

Yeah, this part confuses me. There wasn't really anything spicy here. The only thing coming close were a few people pointing out that most of his posts contained at least some line somewhere that itself demeaned or insulted anyone who happened to have a different opinion from him, but even those were just pointing that out. Sadly, it feels more like just more attention-getting behavior to be eaten up by certain folks.
Why do people look back fondly at nier raids. I've never wiped in any of them and they were extremely long and boring.. There's just been that pvp meme in puppets bunker boss 2 with aiming the stack at another party but that's it, it doesn't actually wipe everyone.
I ask the same with Ivalice raids. They're just long and boring. Why do people look back fondly at nier raids. I've never wiped in any of them and they were extremely long and boring.. I felt that way about the Ivalice raids. The NieR ones - I really liked the 1st and 3rd ones, not so much the middle one. I'd say the two biggest reasons I enjoyed them were the particular mechanics and even moreso the music. I ended up playing (and liking!) NieR:Replicant and am now in the middle of NieR:Automata because of hearing the soundtrack in the FFXIV raids.
Uh I think people are confusing long and boring with Nier. 1st and 3rd one goes on for way too long and the fight mechs are boringI felt that way about the Ivalice raids. We're going to get patch part II with amazing, lasting content and then its going to be another 4-7 months of the "go play other games" period.
You wouldnt even see half of the people on the forums spending their countless hours writing endless texts in various threads, if the game had some meaningful lasting content.
Dont know why people complain about the "Quitting ffxiv"-title so much, that they're blind to the real issue here.
Must be fun to sit in Limsa all day and browse that mod catalogue while paying real cash in there.

If you never wiped in any of them, then you didn't do them at launch. There were a few mechanics that used to chew pugs up pretty badly before we learned the dances and outgeared everything. Now they tend to melt before the worst stuff comes out, especially in the Copied Factory. Why do people look back fondly at nier raids. Personally I liked the first two better, but mostly that's because the Tower's white-on-grey-on-off-white color palette gives me a headache after a while.
