Not saying I think it's right, just pointing out that I don't think it would hurt anyone besides the housing extremists. I can imagine these houses having completely different wards, and certain toxic elements in the housing community mocking them for it.
IMO for a paid sub addon, such housing would need to offer something the normal housing currently in game doesn't have. Examples being alternate floorplan layouts, larger yard, larger size category beyond large, etc.

Alternate floorplan layouts would probably be the biggest seller I think at least from my personal viewpoint. In game small houses aren't bad, neither are the large ones for the most part, however after buying a medium awhile back when Shirogane first opened and getting around to decorating it I've come to really dislike the placement of the stairs and the short depth wide width layout most noticeably on the ground floor which has me thinking I should have spent the extra at the time for a large despite thoughts that I would never finish decorating that much empty space.
