Who is Yoshia?
I think it's a little cheeky to demand someone not work on other projects. Either way, CBU1 has their hands full with the billionth FFVII game to worry about working on new entries altogether.
Well OP, you can demand whatever you want. As you say, as a consumer, you have right to voice you opinion on whether or not a product is satisfactory. However, that's very different from telling whomever produces that product how they should work. That's their responsibility, and typically not your concern.
For example, if you wanted to buy a car, you don't think about how the steps it took to manufacture it? As long as you get the car that you want, with the features that you want, at the price that you want- , typically - you're happy. Many people don't even know have some systems work, but they can operate it, and tell a mechanic (or a dealer) if they like or don't like a model. Same principle applies here.
I'm not really bothered by who is working on the game or if they have other projects, just the end result.
Currently Endwalker has a slower patch cycle than previous expansions, although covid was a valid reason; if this continues into Dawntrail I think we should be a bit concerned and demand better - but making such specific demands is counterproductive because we don't actually know what the issues are, and they will have reason to take offense rather than hear our feedback.
man people are going to be mad when they realize ff16 didnt affect ff14 at all and them disliking endwalker is just how they feel about the expansion and had nothing to do with man power or him overseeing multiple projects.
Uh,
I think they can do as they please but I think there should be more transparency.
I'm sorry, but I'm not inclined to blame FF16 development too much for the woes of this expansion, given that most of the issues with the expansion IMO is decision and direction-related, some of it is on resource, but most is just a big blunder in decision making.
Island Sanctuary being solo-play related, and being completely isolated was a decision, and IMO not a problem caused by lack of resource from working on two games - They already had adequate foundation in Crafting and Gathering to uplift the experience. The system was already there, they elected not to use it.
Relic system being a dried out experience with little grind or variety is also decision, and IMO not entirely a resource problem. Relic could have easily gone with a system similar to ARR or HW grinds. They could have even tied it into V&C - Not doing that was a decision problem.

I was ready to agree with you until the part that I bolded. If you're in a position of authority over subordinates and they're not doing good work, that's on you. Even in the scenarios where you could consider the subordinates to be at-fault (meaning they are unskilled or simply not doing the work) responsibility ultimately goes to management, because when such problems are noticed — and they should be noticed, because an effective producer is measuring progress — it's management's job to solve them. Whether that means training up these employees, adjusting the schedule to accommodate the unexpected reality of a lower velocity, or simply firing these employees because they aren't able to do their jobs as needed, the responsibility for addressing these problems is a manager's duty. And if that manager has a superior, it's that superior's duty to make sure that their subordinate addresses the issue. And so on and so forth until you reach the top of the food chain where the most responsible person lies.At the risk of sounding like a dev simp, you nor me have the right to tell or force a develpor NOT pursue other projects for both expanding their portfolio and creativity in the gaming field.
Thats their decision and if Yoshida wants to divert his attention to newer material thats completely fine and as a consumer Im interested to see what him and other staff in the team can come up in the future.
All I care about is that FFXIV is still properly maintained and while I can still pin responsibility on him as he is the current director Im also blaming the new blood in the team to failing to meet expectactions. Its not even much for me personally, I just want the game to be above average and currently its just....average.
In short, if your subordinates are doing a meaningfully bad job and you have the authority to do something about that but don't, you are doing a even worse at your job than they are at theirs.
