They are easy either way. It is just about making them actually fun, involve a slight bit of focus and break a sweat occasionally, which tighter syncs achieve.

In other news, there is no technical debt from 1.0.
"We don't have ... a technological issue that was carried over from 1.0, because ARR was meant to kind of discard what we had from 1.0 and rebuild it from the engine."

There's a line between insultingly braindead and easy.its almost like "casual" content is supposed to be easy
who would have thought
more news at 11 ?
but hey once again, makes me glad they dont listen to the forums to implement things in this game, because damn if they listened to this place the game would be barren by now with the amount of absolutely terrible ideas
Mario Odyssey is a casual game with a degree of challenge that ensures the player is always paying attention, it doesn't hands you victory on a plate.
GW2, often considered to be the most casual MMO in the market, has entry level instanced content that's miles harder than ours and players still clear them daily.
Before you use snbark to make fun of others, reflect upon your own takes.
Except that jobs in FFXIV are not fun, they're all streamlined and boring and have no fun to them aside from maybe one or two, so the shorter those fights are the better, especially while levelingThere's a line between insultingly braindead and easy.

This has got to be the worst take of anything. The jobs not being fun, doesnt mean the entire game has to be boring too. Of course the jobs should be improved, but to actually want things to be more boring by making the main gameplay even shorter?
Do you even want to play anymore? Im not even asking as a "play something else", but genuinely it sounds like you'd rather do anything else.
I dont want things to be artifically slowed down for no reasons, it wouldnt be any more fun to have a fight last for 3 minutes while the jobs are still as boring they are, they would have to fix both at once, and we both know that's not happening. This has got to be the worst take of anything. "Artificially slowed down"
What does this even mean? It makes zero sense. And the reason(s) for this suggestion are all over this thread. Job design is an entirely different issue and has nothing to do with this. If you want to address the simplicity of job design, I suggest starting your own thread, or post in any of the active ones that are addressing it.
If everything is fine as it is and you just slow it down for the sake of slowing it down, it's basically artificial."Artificially slowed down"

Also no, both of those issues go hand in hand, if a fight is boring while it lasts 1.5 minutes, it wont be less boring because it lasts 4-5 minutes, it will be just as boring, but will be an even bigger bore.
Either you fix both, or none.
I didn't read the full thread so apologies if this has been mentioned or the thread has taken a different turn.
I feel like they missed the mark on doing this already. The prime time to do it was at the same time as the stat squish they did not too long ago.
I would love for this to be a thing but at this point I think they could only apply it to new content going forward since there wouldn't be max ilvl set in place for those yet.
People get pissy if you take something away from them.
Issue is they're extremely slow on resolving issues like this. It took them how long to re-tune the duties in MSQ roulette?I didn't read the full thread so apologies if this has been mentioned or the thread has taken a different turn.
