Yes, i know its not always just "alright everyone go find a seat". But you aren't told "Okay, please wait 2 minutes" while they just stare at you because they are literally doing nothing. In fact, you are usually seated right away if there is any space, and you wait to give your order at your table. You are seated, but orders for the restaurant are staggered so not to overwhelm the kitchen staff.
The Restaurant being the game. The Staff the Login Servers. And the Kitchen the Game Servers.

Only difference being is you are artificially slowed down by the login servers, but when you are in-game you can get instant ques through DF, not having to wait an arbitrary minute or two so the server isnt overwhelmed by so many people queueing into roulettes or whatever.
