This lottery housing Fluff... needs to stop

the players got exactly what they asked for. They even made it more fair by making the players commit to bidding on a house so only one bid at time can be placed, so what's the problem here? As long as you hit the Gil requirement to buy a house, anybody can participate. Wasn't that the point? Didn't players want to level the playing field by not losing out to some guy who has 16 hours a day to wait for a house to open up?

What about the concerns about the players who can't play every day or travel some days and can't access the game sometimes? The way the system is currently set is considerate for that group of people because you just need to be on one day out of a week to make a bid, you wait a week, you have three four days to claim.

Those players who wanted these people to be accounted for got their wish, the ramifications of that were competition for a plot went way up and it takes longer to win a plot. The days of walking up to a plot and just claiming it are done, and the players were the one who asked for that to happen

tbf I wish I could disagree, people yelled and screamed about how bots were "breaking housing" and how lottery would be the "savior of housing"

they got their wish, now they get to be in a waiting period 9 days every cycle so that everyone get their "fair" chance at getting a house, which also massively increased the amount of bids, they basically asked to keep losing over and over again and have a very minimal chance of winning, they really doomed themsleves with that one, but not only themselves, everyone with it too.

I was not part of those who screamed and yelled at bots. But the lottery is not better either.

If everyone having an equal chance of getting a house isnt a happy medium, then what is?

IMO this was the happy medium.

Just some thought that a lottery would increase their chance, but didn't account for the increased accessibility working against them.

Yup, here are just a few threads from 2020-2021 asking for a lottery. It's not an exaggeration to say players asked for this. It was a very common request back then.

People were told it would be harder to win in a lottery but they didn't listen, because they wanted a fair system. To now ask for improved odds at the expense of others is hypocrisy at its finest and that's why I'm against any changes that would make things less fair. If people wanted better odds for themselves they should have opposed the lottery when it mattered.

Oh i agree. I'm not saying im against ANY of this. I'm just saying it's abit laughable. I'm not attacking anyone. All i said was this lottery is getting out of hand, and sure people did ask for this, so we got what we deserved. I'll just be quiet then. :/ sorry for expressing my toughts.

Mao was never interested in better odds for Mao. Mao was ONLY interested in fair system. Is why Mao was and still is strong proponent for Lottery. Mao knew Mao chances would be worse with Lottery and Mao accepted that. Mao wanted fair system for ALL.
