What's the point with that quite lackluster story in Endwalker?

Add in posters swooping in to complain about the thread's existence and the cycle continues. Yet many of the formerly active posters here have since departed - save for a handful - with new posters with similar concerns weighing in over time.

Yes, but the catch is that I do want that thread to thrive, where else could I find proof that people have no idea what "context" means, and argue for two years over things the vast majority of the playerbase accepted as "necessary means to a cause that can widely be seen as pretty nice : life".

More on point : what I criticize isn't people seeing the game in a different light than I do, people are free to interpret and think whatever they want... But the fact some people go on a crusade for years, using words such as "genocide, eugenics and racial replacement", to describe a fictional situation, without using critical thinking, is really dangerous to me. There are genocides, eugenics and racial replacement IRL, but y'all are here arguing Venat is a bad person.

Yeh, these those things happen in real life, but this is a game forum. This is not the place to discuss real life topics. This thread was created specifically to discuss issues on the story, and that is what people have been doing. That doesn't make any of the things happening in real life less awful, as they most certainly are, but they don't have a place here and no one is referencing them. This is a thread about fictional people in a fictional world on a forum set up for that kind of discourse. Please do not bring real life into this.

As for why people are complaining... Many are complaining because they love this game and just want a place to discuss a different view and vent. There is nothing wrong with that, despite the myriad of posters saying to the contrary.
