I kind of agree, but that's why I pointed out Bozja. CLL, DR normal, and Dal were a lot more midcore. And for all the complaints at the time, Bozja was largely a huge success.

Bozja still has the requirement of joining discord servers and reading guides. For the most part Bozja and Eureka are owned by 1-2 discord servers per DC and you either join those and run the content with their guides and by their rules, or you really don't do it very easily.
That's something I would definitey say should not be a part of midcore content. If EX fights and Savages, which are considered hardcore, don't have discord voice chat, discord integration, or guides required to attempt, then I don't see why something that's supposed to fill the niche directly below, and designed to lead into it it would require those.

It really isn't the entirety of Eureka and Bozja. As far as I've seen, it's Baldesian Arsenal (due to Portals, and people new to Hydatos aren't going to know how it works), and Delebrum Reginae Savage. The both of them require some degree of organization, which is a good thing, and it's easiest to do it with discord due to how accessible it is. They help organize these, for both veterans to them and new people looking to learn. You can still go in to basically everything else they have to offer without concern.

Now for my actual thoughts, which I am going to put outside of the main original post:

I completely agree with Zepla, but she only mentioned a little bit about how casual content is unexciting. The way I see it, casual players also got screwed over by Square Enix, you can see that with Island Sanctuary. Island Sanctuary has no depth and more importantly no soul, it's completely unlike Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing, it's about spreadsheet management ? Really ? Doing numbers is not casual content. It should have been about fulfilling the vacation fantasy and having a hideout to destress and slowly set up your own farm and grow your crops and watch your animals grow and have babies, so you can get a lot of cute puppies and chicks and all that, and more importantly, to have a ton of small organic stories that pop up like having a chicken run missing one day and you have to find it. Right now the casual content is so formulaic, but casual players don't deserve that either. Casual doesn't mean you put in zero effort into their content. Stardew Valley didn't succeed because it has a spreadsheet behind it, it succeeded because you can play the game normally and have an organic story develop about your journey through your farm, like do you help the corporation or help the small town, it makes you feel like you really inhabit the world.

Oh, and for the record: I actually agree with pretty much all of that. I thought it was a good post. I wish you would have posted that here instead of posting what you have here and trying to hide that there. But I do genuinely agree with this, so thought it was worth reposting here. Thank you for sharing your viewpoint.

BA and DRS need discord for sure, but other parts of the content push you towards discord.

CLL DR, DAL all need a base number of players to complete, which the solution I most often see is "just join this discord and ask for a run to be set up"
Same for Eureka and killing quite a few of the NMs, a lot of them require a base number of players to kill, along with playing solo making it incredibly punishing to die at all.

The most important part about midcore content to me is it should not need the same group of players to be present consistently and there should be no outside guides or organization needed to attempt it. If you need to go over to a discord or outside of the game client for guides or to organize a run of content, it's starting to approach more effort and requirements than midcore entails. I shoudl be able to go into midcore content on mostly current item level gear, throw up a PF or a LFG post inside the area, and find everything I need inside of the game client there.
