Zepla: Endwalker is the Worst FFXIV Expansion I have played

I started this thread with a similar mindset; I can think for myself and how Zepla or any other person feels about the game is irrelevant to me. That said, Zepla has a lot of visibility, way more than I do, so she probably can sway her audience in some manner if they don't have strong feelings about XIV one way or another. Because of her large audience she is more likely to be listened to by the Devs than me or anyone else here.

So, I do feel streamers have some relevance, even if to me personally I won't change how I feel about a game just because they rambled in front of a camera.

I do think that a good professional streamer will keep their finger on the pulse of a game though, and that's something I think Zepla has done in the videos.

Not really, she is that other kind of streamer, a good streamer would keep his/her personal opinions out of it, else you are just developing propaganda and coming with pompous self absorped BS...... this is not a review and if it goes alot down like that, then the streamer is actually losing the touch with the game and worse credibility.

Alot of new people wont notice any of these things as they got mountains to climb to even get all jobs to max level... and by the time they reach end game... new stuff has come in between and or am working on 3-4 different side paths... that also would take tonnes of times, days, months to complete.

So yes irrelevant, if this is what Zepla and other Streamers has come to be to just beating on a dead horse, because they don't like, then they have entirely lost the purpose of the said or mentioned role they want and have taken.

It is simple as that... followers will stop following... and simps will sooner or later realize that they wont be able to get with that person at all after all, even though they get a smiley, or approved stamp on some of their praises.

I don't understand why people clearly refuse to watch the video and still jump into this thread with some short-sighted, unfounded, strong opinions.

It's not just her opinion as she is sharing comments and opinions from her viewers and the greater community as well. If anything, she would be losing touch with the game if she DIDN'T bother to share those (increasingly loud) voices. Great for new players that they have stuff to do from the older expansions, but as you can easily judge from the title she was talking about Endwalker specifically.

People are allowed to have an opinion and they are allowed to criticize the game they like.

It is literally objective fact that Endwalker has not provided incentive to make the content it released long lasting.

Eureka Orthos does not provide enough exp to make it another recommended path other than ye old dungeon spam and roulettes

Criterion dungeon, while being excellent content from what I've heard unanimously, has laughably lackluster rewards and essentially is dead 2-3 days after patch release

Island Sanctuary flopped for me when I found out how it worked from everyone else. You get max rank and then it gets boiled down to going there for less than 15 minutes

WE have already done all of that, got what we wanted, our criticism is toward Endwalker patch content. You would absolutely not be defending this state of the game if this were back in Heavensward. Which, not that you care, is the expansion Zepla joined in. You want to know why Heavensward despite it's horrific era for the playerbase isn't the worst expansion that she has played? You guessed it, because she was a new player, she has been on both sides of the current spectrum, her feedback is absolutely valid whether you think it is or not.

Especially since the complains are complains that compare EW to ShB or older expansions. Not out of the blue complains about the lack content. Complains that the content we got has zero longevity, when older expansion did have that longevity.

I know this point has been brought up a lot, but it is helpful to distinguish new players from consistent players in discussions like this. I started in ARR but probably have a background closer to that of a new player - pretty much I would do all of the MSQ, level only WHM and SMN to max level, and leave until the next expansion.

Presently I spend maybe 2.5 hours per week on EW daily/weekly chores. 5 Expert Roulettes to cap Comedies and the 4 normal raids to gear alt classes. All other time is spent on old content, and mostly because I had so many jobs to level and I had never touched gathering/crafting until EW. Had I done all this when it was current content I'd be tempted to unsub as repeating daily chores doesn't keep my interest that long.

Island bored me to death, I don't even have it maxed. I could force myself to spend time on that but it's not why I play an MMO.

There is tonnes of content TO DO in FFXIV, and it does not all have to be what has been added within the last 6 to 12 months, that is decadent to suppose like that, and as for a streamer it takes away the purpose entirely from the goal line, which should be like enjoying and showing off the game as a whole, not just the most new content, so in other words with all you say there is that you are off the chart entirely of what a game like this is all about.

Come on!!! if you want hardcore raiding play a game like Baldurs Gate 3, where you litterally can set yourself up for harsh 20minute fights or more, depending on how and in which situation you dare to put yourself in and let the dice determine the outcome and not some preset script.

Also you are supposed to be hitting the wall with MMOs sooner or later, no matter how much content, YOU WILL run out of it and at some point it WILL be very repeatable, and that is a fact WITH ANY MMO THAT HAS BEEN EVER made even precious World of Warcraft... so come on... those clowns with a mic and a webcam got absolutely nothing to come with, with their statement and they know next to nothing about development time, and then upon that QA and testing, due to you want as few bugs as possible upon release, because if bug ridden... then those pathetic Streamers would then hail down all the bugs and the likes instead.

So you are playing with a double edged sword where there is no true path and one fact that Content will never be able to keep up with MMOs as in new content and stories.

But FFXIV is a MMORPG... Massive Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game, and to get the life with that for good, then you actually need to be a Roleplayer other than doing the trivial stuff, and that is also a horrible fact that those streamers DO get wrong... and heck most of the people playing games like this as well.
