I think what they're doing is considered a strawman fallacy.Some posters do have a habit of - perhaps deliberately - reading into even reasonable posts as if they're some strangely alien take no matter the subject matter, I've found.
I think Endwalker would have been much better if it were written to follow the established logical narrative progression and world building instead of banking on 'feels' that simply don't hold up under scrutiny.
