Lol, well for the flaming part I didn't mean you specifically. I'm just saying it's been difficult to really discuss anything in a lot of the threads.Well, personally whether its in a party or just general exploring the penalty I mentioned adds suspense, a dash of adventure and a overall concern for my characters well being. In XI I enjoyed dodging mobs in higher level areas soaking in the beauty of the areas while fearing for my life. In XIV I just ran wildy through stuff without concern of death and it wasn't nearly as exciting. The best, most exciting part was the music sadly.
Oh and I don't flame when a question is asked kindly, only a few people cause me to become a angry ball of rage. :P
And in my question, I didn't mean you specifically either, I appologize for that mix up. You said "Something has to be done to help deter players away from just mindlessly throwing their lives away for no real reason other then "No hair off my back I'll just run back and do it again!", so I was refering to why is it bad for other players, not yourself.
I do understand your answer though. My thrill seeking comes more in fighting as many creatures as I can without dying.
She has stated that she has recently lost people, broke up with her b/f and is currently suffering money problems. She decided to aired her dirty laundry in a public forum, thus forcing people to have an opinion. I don't believe her. That's my opinion.Making light of people's personal issues is not at all called for nor is it decent human behavior. Everyone should be given the benefit of the doubt. On the topic of whether someone who bought the game and is not actually playing has any say or should be talking about their ideas sees like a no-brainer. Anyone's opinion is valuable.
The more thoughts out there the better the quality of discussion. People talked up a storm before the game came out, and are still talking. If nothing else Kilta's point of view is unique because she is able to synthesize thought using the information gained from posters here and things she's seen as opposed to seeing it first hand.
Secondly, where did I state she wasnt't entitled to her own opinion? Your clearly confused and I think your knickers may have gotten twisted while you rushed to adorn your white armour.
Obstacle, not a barrier.
Its good to actually have a disscussion with someone rather then being force fed other people's opinions.Lol, well for the flaming part I didn't mean you specifically. I'm just saying it's been difficult to really discuss anything in a lot of the threads.

I enjoy the fighting lots of mobs without dying too, it just (for me) enhances that feeling when I know dying would set me back a few kills. I mean in XI the penalty was never that bad, at the levels where you lost a ton of XP you had Raise 2-3 which pretty much halved - 90% the xp lost so 1-2 kills later you have back what you lost from dying.
Its not a gamebreaking addition to the game, its so minor nobody would notice unless they die alot and if thats the case its time to reevaluate the cause of the deaths and adjust it to remedy the issue.

I believe you are in fact entitled to your opinion however when your opinion is virulent and hurtful you should be mindful of the fact that you may upset others. "Not believing" someone especially about important "dirty laundry" as you so eloquently put it seems like an extremely personal opinion and not at all warranted outside the confines of your mind.
Perhaps you did not in fact say she was not entitled to her opinion but your brash belittling of her opinion seems to speak that you do not hold it in high regard, perhaps so much so that it might not be such a logical leap to say you'd prefer she not had one at all.
Then again all of this is my opinion. Perhaps we should agree to disagree.
So you're saying that she's entitled to her opinion, but others are not entitled to the opinion that said opinion is baseless and can be summarily dismissed?
Everyone's entitled to think what they want, as long as you agree?

Interim solutions are for pansies.
Everyone is entitled to think what they want as long as they do so in a civil manner. Whether I agree or not is arbitrary. I believe it all stems down to agreeing to disagree and not resorting to ad hominem attacks. Those are childish and have no place in polite discussion.
I don't see where anyone made any ad hominem attacks on the fact that she has opinions.... So we don't seem to have any disagreements after all. I like it when everything works out.

all this cuz I was curious about why ppl were talking about death penalties.
>.> I didn't mean to air my dirty laundry It just happen.
I was with my b/f for 5 years we met on ffxi and was my LS leader. He taught me alot about the game. We started talking offline and became close. I ended up unable to pay for ffxi due to a bad bank's debit card. He started paying it for me. (didn't take no for an answer) he also bought me alot of stuff (ahain didn't take no for am answer)
and we just broke up last week. :/ we still friends or at least trying to be. And now he talking to a new girl all of a sudden.![]()
I am not really a lier about that stuff. I'm a good person and I don;t need to do pitty tactics to make friends. I got to much pride amd irish stubborness. (runs in the family)
if ppl got to know me they know i;m a nice person.
