ok pretty much the original starter wasn't well liked. So let me retry saying it.

ok so Pretty much here is my "sorry but... What?" (pretty much a joke about my confusion)

I'm a long time player of ffxiv. I'm waiting to get a chance to play ffxiv, so I post here to well see how the game is going, and put in ideas that might be good for the game. I also put in my 2 cents on suggestions based on the fact that I'm a potential player, and also a target of SE. I agree with some stuff I also disagree with stuff. But all in all I want the game to be fun

Pretty much I've made comments on death pentalties. I'm really neither for or against changes since in the end, people will do anything it takes to avoid it. Which was my comments

Now this topic is my asking why. Why are death penalties such a hot topic? Why do people what harsher penalties? I'm just pretty much confused by it. I'm coming from games who do many forms of Power Leveling to avoid these.

Ok With all that said I do hope people reread and rethink their replies. I'm not trying to "make another topic about it" But more trying to find out why it is a topic in the first place. Not hating on the discussion, just again surpised by it.

Also to jibe sorry about my post in your thread. I shouldn't have been mean to you. I also just wanted to say my 2 cents, not to be mean but to share my opinion based on my personal experiences.

Also sorry to everyone I was mean to on here. There is no excuse for my rudeness. I was projecting my feelings too much because I just went through a nasty break up with the love of my life. Who is after a week, talking to another girl and letting me know about it everyday.... I'mm try to be less of a troll ok :3 I'm a very nice person if you get to know me. :3

I agree with you Kilta. Take me to their dealer so I can get some of the crack they're smoking. Anyone who wants a death penalty is an MMO addict, not a balanced person who games for fun. But this forum is practically a place for people to get a fix not discuss anything rational.

I read it but did you REALLY have to make a thread about something as pointless as this? its a open forums, stuff like this is bound to happen when the older topic falls to page 2-3 people make a new one before searching.

Whats annoying is that you make a thread about other threads and complain when people react aggressively.

As far as power leveling went, it was more used to negate the effects of a bad party and helped optimize their xp/hr not to avoid dying, that was just a welcome bonus.

Some people just have a hard time realizing that death in an MMO is actually a gate (i.e. prevents rezzing and zerging bosses) rather than a 'difficulty'.

Also, repairing in this particular game is VERY expensive, and if you don't craft or have a linkshell/guild, you will be broke in no time, guaranteed. Attaching a gear-breaking mechanism to dieing would not be a very good idea for this game, especially given the multitude of issues already present. Do you seriously want to make things this damn hard for SE??

You keep talking about XI and other mmo all the time but i always have the feeling that you did not play FFXIV
