What I really dont get is that these same people dump all over the game all the time, complain about "corporate profits" etc..and yet here they are, paying for said game.

You're having a hard time understanding this because you think criticism of the game comes from a place of hate, when really it's just people who love the game and don't want it to get oversimplified, milked, and streamlined to death.
