Alexandre's comment pretty clearly being sarcasm for "complaints do have impacts, actually; see 1.x being remade into ARR for proof" aside...
Even opening the menu had a
several second delay because the horribad coding meant it had to ping and get server confirmation before the client would load it up!
It took only so much as looking at any 1.x gameplay video to find out that claim goes well into your hated hyperbole unless your internet nearly died somehow precisely as you hit the button. It was about
1 second delay.
For me, on a pretty typical computer right at the recommendations for either, on the very same settings, performance only varied by a few FPS from 1.x to ARR.
And I walked past the nefarious flower pot almost daily without any noticeably drop to frames; it made little to no sense to me why anyone would single that, of all things, out (except for the obvious bit that singling something out makes for a funny story, even if it was utterly unimpactful/unnoticable).
Why would it surprise anyone that an object with dozens of times the limbs of a player would, to look remotely decent, need more polygons than the base unclothed player model? Should we likewise complain if grapes used up more than 12 facets (be that for 'inefficient'/'unoptimized' design or because they might then be an insufficient homage to our jolly rancher god)?
More generally, though, why bother with this clearly third-hand information? It was remade. Unless we're comparing design concepts here, it makes no difference. Regurgitating random NoClip soundbites makes no difference to that.
