Surely an MMO developer on the size of Square Enix can make content that lasts more than 2 days and also has 5-6 months in between patches.No MMO developer is ever going to be able to keep every single player busy the entire time they are subscribed with new content. Even with how incredibly grindy and time-consuming EverQuest was, I needed alts to keep myself busy until the next expansion because I played so much.
And what makes completing 10k S rank hunts to get a reward (achievement) to fill time before an expansion a chore but sitting in a single zone like Eureka or Bozja grinding the same thing day in and day out to get a reward (item) isn't a chore? I think people gloss over that they're both repetitive tasks that lead to some thing that someone wants. It's not really new or varied content.
