So yes, if you have been playing this game for 10 years then you will certainly be caught up on everything you want to do. I find it unreasonable to expect a developer to produce enough content that will keep people logging in everyday or even every week to do something for 10 or more years.

Meanwhile I've been playing WoW on the regular, all caught up and everything, and there is still enough to keep me entertained every week. Mainly because of mythic plus.

So the game and developers shouldnt take veterans like us into account? The game for every expansion, every patch release must always be centred around new players? Many new players don't have great attention spans for games like this and that should not be catered to, I am fine with people leaving the game and quitting.

We shouldn't have to go back to previous expansions to get every mount minion and glam piece because of the lack of content in the current one. If the game continued to get the same amount of content and variety of content we got during arr-stormblood ff14 wouldnt be getting more and more complaints since shadowbringers with a lack of content.

If you have to go back to old expansions just to find stuff to do, especially after the first week of patch release, then maybe, just maybe, the current expansion doesn't have good, if any, long lasting content.

Not everyone is going to smash their head against a brick wall going for 10,000 collectibles and 20,000 accursed hoard. People aren't going to do shit they aren't interested in doing. It isn't that hard to comprehend

When people bring up "did you get every fish entry or 20000 accursed hoards" i find it as an excuse or defense of the dev team for the lack of content we have when compared to how we used to get so much more when the game first came out. The dev team got complacent in the games success that they know people will gladly defend everything they do and not question anything.

Clearly, everyone complaining has done everything.

They've all completed their best in slot gear from the current savage raid, they've played all the jobs to 90, they've cleared all the legacy raids on BLU, they've farmed out all their mounts from EX trials so far, they're omni crafters...

...except the most vocal haven't done any of that. They have one combat job finished, have a couple crafters leveled, don't have any raid gear or achievements. When they say "no content" what they mean is "I don't want to do *that* content*.

It's disingenuous.

Or, and stay with me now. Not everyone is a mount collector, not everyone is a crafter, not everyone is a gatherer, not everyone is an achievement hunter, etc.

I have all combat jobs to 90, i got BTN/MIN to 90 and crafters in ShB to 80 and several of them to 90. Blu isn't my style and I would continue to level it if I could take it into current content. I'm not much of a gatherer and crafter in mmo's but if I get the drive, they're there.

I got what relics I wanted from Eureka and Bozja, I don't care that much about mounts, they're more of a bonus to me.

I would do savage but I got terminal brainrot from how stupid PF can be back during eden and decided it wasn't worth the frustration anymore, and I have a weird work schedule so statics aren't gonna do it for me either. I'm more of a midcore MMO player anyway so I just find other stuff to do, which WOULD be satiated if there was an actual Relic grind for me to work on. We had eureka and bozja in Stormblood and Shadowbringers, respectively. None of that is in Endwalker, and Criterion is a missed opportunity so far.

This is the perfect expansion for new players, not for veteran players. People like you are the reason why some people just result in trolling with alts because you will just derail it into posting that, pooling all of us into your assumption that all of us are complaining just to complain.

That's what I'm doing personally. I'll keep up to date on news and so far I'm excited for Dawntrail, knowing that Yoship did say in the interview that they are in the process of finalizing a new type of battle content with new plans for Deep Dungeon, and intentions on bringing up new exploratory content has my interest.

I'll come back in 6.5 to do story and run the new alliance raid to see how it is on launch, but after that it's likely back in the gallows for me until 6.55 where I'll start prepping another role or two with tome gear for Dawntrail. Likely scouting seeing as how we should be getting another scouting job. I would go through and finish off all of my variant logs for completion, but I'm just saving those for further down the line so I have content to do before Dawntrail.
