I was looking at that topic about the complaints about the relics, I think there can be a way to fix this where everyone is happy (hopefully).
Step 1 - Exploratory Zone
This will setup the relics obviously and the storyline.
Step 2 - The Relics
Now in the past most relics formed a singular path aka the grind while you're doing the story & grinding out the same objectives over and over again for a relic.
Instead of that

Relic step 1 -
Each Relic will have its own unique storyline to follow that culminates into the final act that will lead to the final boss of that storyline to gain your specific relic for step 1.

Relic step 2 -
To upgrade your relic is by doing objectives similar to Bozja such as FATEs, Duels, etc. but not as grindy like Bozja/Eureka was. This is in exchange for more story for step 1 and lessen the grinding for step 2. Also you can grind it out by doing marked Duty Finders as another option if you want a break from the exploratory zone.

Relic step 3 -
Each Relic will have its own Dungeon that scales based on how many people are participating in it (also to futureproof its eventual player decline), so every job leader with their party will have its own experience with unique bosses & challenges.
After about a year has passed, the scaling will be replaced with NPCs to help with the player.

Final Relic Step -
Similar to Zadnor's dungeon it will be the final boss dungeon. It will just require one playthrough for each job to get the final step of the relic.
As a incentive to do future repeat playthroughs is getting the mount, minion, orchestrations, and a special story epilogue for doing all of the relics as a reward for your perseverance.
And as a added bonus if you do all of the relics and finished the final boss you'll get to do a special boss duel that has its own special mount for your efforts.
Taking a page here from Extreme Raids where if you got all the mounts you get the final mount, I wanted to apply the same logic here, but with Relics instead.

The objectives what I'm trying to go for -
Make sure grinding isn't boring, but make sure the FATES, Duels, etc are just as challenging as it was in Bozja in step 2 relic.
Have more story for step 1 in exchange to have less grinding in step 2 if we're going by development time to make all of this.
Think about the player's free time.
Have more dungeon experiences rather than repeat the same dungeon over and over again in step 3.

I was thinking the main problem with Eureka and Bozja really was the free time aspect of it because some people in this game didn't seem like to be chained to one type of content for so long, so I kept that in mind.
Also
I thought about glowing armor like Eureka, but not sure how to make that work exactly.
