Speed run instances are killing PLD

JP side has a thread specifically talking about getting rid of TA (Time Attack) chest since it only allows certain setup group with player skills to obtain rather than getting any type of regular party setup and try to get 5/5 chest.

even if they got rid of it poeple would still do the same thing. The faster you kill the more chest you get no matter what. If team a takes 30 mins to get 5 chest and team b take 60 mins, then after 2 hours your looking at 20 chest compared to 10(given they removed timed chest). Removing the timed chest will ease it a little but not much will change imo.

Personally I wish they would put 50-100%drop rate and a 24 hour timer

Sure it would take longer but some groups just go in as friends/linkshell and if they don't have the desired speed run setup they still have chance of going after 5/5, even with regular outsiders only setup they don't have to worry about the T/A chest and would also open up more people to try the event rather than feeling left out for leveling up the wrong job first and not being able to be invited to any event.

I'm all for this too. Get rid of the TA and instead just make the boss actually challenging instead of a joke. Or rather like umm the whole instance....yeah...TA is not fun at all.
