Precisely. Even in MMOs with lower populations, such dead zones typically would only occur at something like 4am.

Why, some may ask. It's because despite having lower populations, the players in those other MMOs are actually playing the game. This game, not so much. The players are just subbed while doing other things.

Dealing with bad-faith forum posters who tell you to quit or say your concern is in the minority:
    1. Do not engage in their bad-faith attacks.
    2. Warn others of their bad-faith if they have a long history of it.
    3. Continue the productive conversation and silently report them for personal attacks.
Be firm but polite, recognize their tactics and don't fall into their traps.

Let's also not forget that there's a decent amount of European players on the North American servers. Back when the game first launched, the North American and European servers were both located in Canada. That's since changed, though when the game was still finding its footing a lot of European players decided that they wanted to play on the North American servers so they could be with the 'crowd'. I believe a fair few of my fellow Europeans are still there due to friendships established/houses they do not wish to give up.

MMO's also attract players who do not work/study and those who are retired. To say nothing of people with insomnia or who work nights and thus play during unusual hours to better suit their schedule.

Finally, I'll speak on my own experience on the European servers - both during and outside of prime time I've struggled to form a group for Eureka Orthos and Criterion Dungeons. The content just doesn't have much in the way of staying power and that's precisely why we arguably should have gotten another Eureka/Bozja/Ishgard Reconstruction instead. At least those remained consistently active during their relevant expansions...

And are dead now, which is reason to not go ahead with another one.

I enjoyed them, as did others. There's ways to future proof content outright or later tweak it to account for not being as busy as it was during its prime.

It's often suggested by some of the 'superfans' of this game that the 'negative' posters don't enjoy anything about the game and yet quite often those same 'superfans' devote much of their time to demanding that anything they, themselves, do not like should removed, changed or never show up again.

I don't do high end raiding, that doesn't mean I think high end raids should be removed from the game. I very much enjoy content that brings the server together like Bozja, Eureka and Ishgard Reconstruction and I'd like to see more of that sort of thing.

There was also stuff like relic related content that gave some players incentive to revisit the older more niche content. Something we haven't gotten in Endwalker as the relic has basically just been do the Hildibrand questline then spend the poetics tomes handed out in piles by the game for doing any lv50+ content on something besides crafting materials to post on the marketboard.

In the long run, it will be nice to have the relic weapons as a new poetics dump.

Maybe the level 100 relics will need bits from Orthos? Or even a final step in these level 90 relics.

Did you just say Ishguard Restoration is dead? You are not much of a crafter are you? Every time I wander into that area I see at minimum 10 people crafting and the Diadem always is full of people. This includes 3-4am EST US. Not uncommon to see 15+ prim time. I poke at it from time to time, give some of the special dye to sprouts and newbies or grab mounts for friends/fc mates. Easily a month or three between time there and always people working away.

Crafting focused things NEVER die. If they did this for Bozja it would have been just as filled, especially if it was filled with as much things to buy.

We need more Heavensward style relics. The special zones you have to grind in are for the birds, they are complete crap. Bozja is made worse with the dungeons not being a part of DF. They really and honestly need to retune how you get these relics so they are grindable in dungeons/roulettes/open world fates. If the content is not packed, every time a dungeon pops it is bursting to max capacity to fill every slot, time to rebalance it and make it a DF dungeon. Wither that or make it scale so any class can solo it with sub optimal play if you are 4 or less in it.

    How?

Oh? Who said that and where? As I recall, my commentary on why they didnt do one this time was over the future proofing issue. I never suggested removing it.

I don't do high end raiding, that doesn't mean I think high end raids should be removed from the game. I very much enjoy content that brings the server together like Bozja, Eureka and Ishgard Reconstruction and I'd like to see more of that sort of thing
Reconstruction is still very much used to level crafting, I see people there every day. but how would you "future proof" these exploratory zones?

Huh, I haven't thought about Eureka Orthos since about 3 days after its release.
Thanks for reminding me it exists, OP.

There's a lot of potential ways to breathe new life into older content. The easiest option would be to make use of the carrot on a stick feature - periodically adding new rewards to vendors in older content to funnel players there. This could include minions, mounts, glamour, emotes and housing furniture to suit a variety of player tastes.

Adding the dungeon and raid duties required to advance through the Bozja storyline to the duty finder as another poster pointed out is also a great way to future proof the place.
