    That's my experience at least - I got 426 wins out of 834 is about 51% win rate overall since the rework

    Granted, it may be different in ranked but even there you have no real influence of the circumstances of the job distribution and overall teamplay so I assume it's pretty much the same.

    Again I'm your average player, a top tier one will have a slightly skewered view towards win but for the majority it's just a gamble to rank up

    For starters a 51% win rate is fairly good, slightly above average so nothing to badmouth at all, grats mate for keeping it up.

    However, I still struggle to call it a gamble as much as you go on a per-match basis and your success not only depends on your team's input but also the enemy's input. Both teams play to win, so assuming relatively same skill calling things a gamble is a bit off, it feels almost demeaning if all it meant "the enemy played well that round, good for them". If there is an oddball that skewers success by job rouletting without preparation or actually shouldn't be in the rank they currently are at and only got there by mercy of enough wins and no demoting below Platinum existing, that is an actual issue. Should generally not be the rule though.

    "Climbing" is a difficult thing if you start being at a rank that actually represents your skill level. For me climbing high up and past Platinum or even Diamond is a matter of "Imma play enough games" because I am solid enough to reach that rank, but then when I am IN crystal the rating might be where it gets genuinely difficult for me. The same will likely apply for someone who is perhaps like Gold 3-ish or maybe entered Platinum - honestly pick any rank, the logic applies.

    If you are good enough to surpass your rank, you generally will climb out of your rank. If you aren't, chances are you need to improve and perhaps do things differently than how guides tell you. It's a journey, honestly.

    Ranked can still exist. It just need to grant more medals as the ranks go up. So you got to be high enough rank to get 1 weapon per season. Yes, someone might just run to the wall to get 1 win to land in bronze, but make it that it would take like 4 seasons of bronze for one weapon. I think that's fair. I will say this again, current system of locking the medals behind diamond Or higher will only cause people to use "alternative method". Just like the totems from ultimate raids.

    Agreed. It's odd because Wolf Collars were literally doing that, you could get that weapon even if you were hardstuck Bronze if you just kept playing enough to qualify Bronze for 4 seasons.

    The suggestion to make the augmented weapons available at a slower rate to people who hit bronze tier is a good one. Maybe they'll eventually want to push to the higher tiers to get the weapon faster and so help the queue times on the higher tiers.

    Hard pass on removing ranked though. I play CC to have fun, but I only have fun when playing with people at a similar skill level. Casual matches aren't fun to me unless they add a ranking system to casual matches, which would then make a ton of people who play CC casually really mad, so I'd rather see them keep ranked.

    I've never been convinced that any kind of reward actually drew people to ranked, or at least not in meaningful quantities.
