The bold is the reason i left XI Abyssea didn't kill the game for me the devs did with making all my shit useless in one patch.Ok why did theymake it pop HNM
1. Abyssea
2. the gear doesnt compare to Abyssea
3. People who didnt have ls or wanted to get the gear they wanted like dring etc was easier .
4. People who dont have the brain cells to see that Abyssea blows out any king gear
Reason all Hardcore players left FFXI was because all their hard work was killed in 1 patch
Relic's out Done by weapons u can get 1 day
XI is still XI and i would have loved the game regardless of how abyssea turned out.
It seemed pretty obvious to me that when they started increasing the level cap after it had been stuck at 75 for so many years that this would be the first thing to happen.
Old gear would be superseded by the new.
This happens in almost any MMO of course.
I don't know why you would be so attached to gear and items like that, personally I would be glad to have something new to work towards.

Why wouldn't you be attached to a shield that took you 3 out the 7 years you played to get?It seemed pretty obvious to me that when they started increasing the level cap after it had been stuck at 75 for so many years that this would be the first thing to happen.

thats fine tho but when the devs state for 5 years in a row @ Vanafest we have no plans to raise lvl cap then when they do and make all your shit pointless ppl are gonna be mad.
you can upgrade them.. all relics and mythic is upgradable.
But that is a different game. This is FFXIV and we are no where near endgame yet.

You need to remove these things from FFXIV then:
-Leveling
-Crafting
-Ability to make gil
-Ability to spend gil
-Questing
-Monsters
-Don't incorporate PvP
-Targetable triggers (i.e if there's an event that requires x amount of people to touch to get a special gift, i.e treasure hunt, this is botted as well)
Face it, HNMs don't create botting, MMORPGs in general creates botting,
Yup, and then some...
HNM content does not create bot-only circumstances.
Aren't you the naive one. Nearly everything Elexia listed has some direct impact to everyone else's gameplay. Here we go more exaggerations.
Does not affect my gameplay.
Does not affect my gameplay.
Does not affect my gameplay
Does not affect my gameplay
Does not affect my gameplay
Does not affect my gameplay normally.
Can affect my gameplay if we include HNMS with long timers and claims.
You cannot bot in pvp or you will get pwned. Does not affect my gameplay.
Does not affect my gameplay either.
Never said it did. HNMs is just the only circumstance that severely affects everyone's gameplay and prevents others from accessing content they *should* have access to. You entirely missed the point. Botting in every other circumstance is just personal cheating, which in no way affects me at all. Add HNM's and botting is cheating that *does* affect me and everyone else who's trying to compete fairly.
Very few people will ever be able to feel the awesome feeling of accomplishment of holding a Relic. Especially during the years where it was extremelle, extremelly difficult to obtain one.
On topic however: Nidhogg, ohhh yeaahh![]()
