Huh. Learn something new every day.
Wonder if they'll include a PS5 version with Project Q, whenever that actually materializes.
It is prohibited activity and you can get yout account terminated, because you would sort in under bots and RMT with no appeal.I mean I can see if they message me and just move to my pc to answer then.
Anyways, I looked it up a little bit and people have been doing this way back since 2015 or earlier when the apps for remote desktop seem to have actually costed money instead of being free like chrome's remote desktop.
Someone recently got his/her account terminated, so don't do it, it is not in the grey area of prohibited things it is in the hard flagged red red area, it take one mistake and you are out.
Automation outside the game with crafting grants an advantage, some may think that, that part is in the grey zone, but that part is certainly in the Red Zone, meaning one mistake could cost you, your account.or its people that read the OP.
is crafting grindy? yes it is, remote or not, as someone said its the exact same thing, a process. point being, if you really find it grindy, and it has been dumbed down almost into submission, its not likely to change further to become less so.
but the OP was saying the FC mate threw a "hissy fit" which is fine. its their account, their time, if THEY think its cheating, there will be even less enjoyment. the OP should really have said "okay, your call" and walked away instead of posting on the forum. doesnt matter what forum dwellers say or think about it, its not their account
Whether good intention or not its best not to play with fire because the TOS-People have no forgiveness and I know how gut wrenching it would be to lose a account that is many years old with stuff you may not be able to get anymore (especially 1.0 Players)
Its something I wish the TOS-Guys running in the background could try to be a bit more forgiving for people who didn't think better at the time instead of 1 strike and you're gone.
Remote-Desktop just allows you to access your machine from another device there is no automation involved.
for example, I remote into my Steam Deck so I can use my PC's mouse and keyboard when I need to do stuff in its Linux desktop mode because using the Deck's own controls is a huge pain in desktop mode.
This is the 3rd time he's been told that remote desktop involves no automation whatsoever, if he still doesn't get it by now he clearly doesn't want to.Remote-Desktop just allows you to access your machine from another device there is no automation involved.

Ooof as long as you log into the game and do the stuff elsewhere it is fine, at first it seemed presented like going third party automation.... but sure I assume logging into your game third party is ok, or streaming from your PC to a remote handheld device.Remote-Desktop just allows you to access your machine from another device there is no automation involved.

My bad, if so.
Unlike that Titandude or whatever goes under, I admit I made a mistake![]()
Not unattended play so I think your FC mate just misunderstood what remote desktop is. Like others have said, all it means is remote access from another device. The inputs to the game are still being manually pressed as they would be if someone was sitting there in front of their PC/console pressing them.
