    What do you think of crafting with remote desktop apps?

    I had a fc mate complain about crafting being grindy, so I gave them a suggestion about using something like chrome's remote desktop and just doing anything else while they crafted. They threw a massive hissy fit because apparently that's cheating according to them.

    Crafting is basically just two buttons over and over again though if you're using a macro. Does it really matter if you're pressing them on your phone while being comfy somewhere else?

    I mean I can play FFXIV anywhere on my Steam Deck, I'm not sure why streaming it to another device would be bad.

    I am pretty sure this game officially supports Remote Play for PS4 via the PS Vita. So when I can do it on my Playstation it's not cheating, right?

    Is it still supported? The Vita's been discontinued for about four years now.

    Yes it still works. And the game still changes to a different configuration save when you start the remote play. Changed the buttons for PS Vita gameplay.

    You're still doing the exact same thing you would do while sitting at your PC, open the crafting menu, pick the recipe and hit a macro. I don't see how doing that from your couch would make a difference.

    It say in the ToS, and it is something they are taking serious... if you then don't respond to a GM because you are AFK crafting... then you will be banned or terminated as BOT.

    I would listen to your FC friend, one mistake and you may need to start all over with a new game and account again.
