I don't want XI's system, don't want WoW's either, and let's face it those are the only 2, every game(MMO) in the last 5~10 years has been little more than WoW with a new story and some new characters.
I want to see innovation, SE can manage innovation, they've been doing "original" for decades, I just want to see that continue.
I'm also not saying don't use things from other games that work well, XI was not all bad, WoW(as much as it pains me to say it) was not all bad, it's clones are ... well they're clones. I don't want a clone, and hope no one else does either, or you have to wonder why your not playing one of the preexisting clones?

My fear here is that each summon, seeing as it's a player using it is going to take up a slot, so if there's 8 summons you've lost 8 slots. With the current setup that's more than 1/2 of a classes/jobs total actions, yes I know you get cross class actions too ...

In keeping with "other MMO" traditions yes pet combat commands/battle style would be a wholly different bar and if that's what they choose to go with, ... great?
I'd like to see something that's "new" not XI which wasn't wonderful with the whole menu > ability > pet > action > sub action; thing. But just pulling from WoW or it's clones leaves something to be desired as well.

I imagine we'll get both varieties too, tamers and summoners, like every MMO has.
