But you can develop content that doesn't gatekeep. Bozja is an example. It was fun, midcore and you can skip right over it if you want to get to endwalker.I think you are misunderstanding. I think the point is generally 1. No game in existence is going to keep up with the appetite of gamers who play 7 days a week X hours a day. 2. There is a lot of content to be enjoyed, players just may not be interested in some or even most of it. That doesn't mean there is no content.
And yes, I do appreciate this game is easy to keep up in, so I can enjoy interests outside FFXIV without feeling so behind. Like in Lost Ark they complain about having so much "homework" as they call it, it's taking over their time and lives and it's unhealthy. There they complain about having too much repetitive content they have to do to keep up or risk being gatekept out of new content entirely by the other players.
