To be honest I kinda agree with a few things one of the biggest problem I had in the game is its so easy to do content by doing the minimum that players now don't try to get better because they don't need to and when you give advice people get mad at you saying "Let me play like I want" Well bad news for you all the jobs as only one way to be played. The game is not engaging enough in its content and I am not talking about Ultimates or Savage they are hard not engaging for me an engaging fight is where you die because you f*ck up and not because someone in your team that don't listen and skip a mech

Not to talk how easy the jobs are now, I paid a booster for NIN never played it before and in 10min on a dummy I knew what I was doing, All is made to be easy when I bought ffxiv I was expecting a challenge being my first MMO I thought it would be hard I was wrong so yeah ffxiv is good and I know some people (Yoshi-P fan boys and girls) will insult me for that or tell me "You want challenge go play ultimate" but its not my problem

Every friend I've tried to get into it has fallen asleep and quit. 70-80% of friends that played the game for several years with me have gotten bored and quit. The bulk of these players were those that were casual, in other words they wanted fun things but not get into savage or ultimate or anything like that.

A tank can easily solo the dungeons for you if you just want to AFK at the beginning.

Wonder how much of that is however due to story and ability stretch over simply being easy. Don't get many options for content until you start to unwall the content, and due to how they stretched out abilities it can be a lot of barebone kit until the walls come down enough to feel like there is a whole world at your finger tips. Not that I'm saying to remove that portion of the game, just that people who come at it with the mindset of 'end game' or doing whatever you want.. are going to be far from that space for quite a while.

Easy and engaging are not mutually exclusive is my point, and while I can and have enjoyed hard content I also enjoy easy content-- I can however say that I find early level stuff both easy and not very engaging due to ability stretch, and while I'm not locked out of content since I'm not new.. I could imagine easy, lack of engaging, and a long tunnel, potentially funneling people out who would otherwise be fine.

So all this talk got me itching for it so I'm looking into WoW private servers now. I'm debating on a Beastmaster hunter, A Restro Druid, or maybe even a Rogue for once.
