The stuff in the mogstation has nothing to do with in game rewards you feel haven’t lived up to expectations. Also the moogle event always happens about 30 days before the major patches hit. It always has only one new item, usually cosmetic glamour stuff, never a new mount, and old stuff most players who have done most the content in the game don’t need anyway.

Edit: Carbuncle mounts are recolors sold separately, so it’s no surprise the umbrella mounts are too.

So... Because its been a standard for years. We are ok with it, even tho its been bad. If they at least put a good furniture in it, and not smt you can craft for 2k off the MB. I want good old rare dungeon drops furniture back in my Mogstupidgrind, madge.

You don't have to pay for it, though. I'm not, and I don't feel cheated. I have plenty of mounts already in the game that I never use without feeling any need to go outside of it to buy more.

I dont blame you. All those reskins and reuse of ARR mobs for EW mounts is kinda boring.

it's literally the pod animation that is already in the game but with an umbrella instead ? hello ? also account wide mounts should be the norm, yet you are pushing that as a "oh wow they made it account wide i'm so grateful", while they literally ALL should be account wide by default, it's an actual scam that most of them arent.

What gives you the impression that mounts should be account wide by default? Players are not forced to create alts by any means, and they create them on their own volition. Also, elaborate on how cash shop mounts are a scam.

You see, scams are typically exploits from con-artists who trick people into thinking they need something they actually don't. There is nothing that should make you feel like you need an umbrella mount, especially with the view point you have being it's just a "pod animation". You could just simply shrug your shoulders and move on. But instead you feel compelled to jump on a dog pile of the dev team because the game in its current state oppresses you.

The definition of a "scam" is, exactly, "a fraudulent or deceptive act or operation", using an extreme example, if you were to take a piece of yarn and put a pricetag of 10 billion USD on it, then made a real attempt to sell that piece of yarn at a storefront, it'd be a scam, because the pricetag is deceptive of the item's true value, it'd be an obvious scam, yes, but how well-built the attempt is isn't relevant to the definition.

In other words, people are calling out 24$ as being an overpriced and attempting to sell it at that price makes it a scam.

They're telling you exactly what you're getting for your $24. There's no fraud or deception involved. By your own definition, whether you think it's worth that price or not, it's not a scam.

By my own example, the hypotetical 10 billion dollar yarn is also not claiming to be anything other than a piece of yarn, yet most people would call that a scam, because the moment you put a pricetag on something you create the implication that's the item's genuine worth, if you agree that to be the case, then you are also agreeing that the seller isn't the only person who can define the worth of a product, which in turn means any given potential buyer can decide, by their own definitions and perceptions, if they think something to be a scam or not.

What I am trying to get across is that it isn't an absolute "it either is or isn't" situation, it's going to vary by people's perceptions, and a lot of people in this thread seem to perceive it as such.

Personally, I do think it's overpriced, and I don't buy the "oh it's account-wide" point if they don't give me the option to buy it for a single character, at that point the "account-wide" isn't a boon, it's being enforced and I gain no benefit from it.
