So... Because its been a standard for years. We are ok with it, even tho its been bad. If they at least put a good furniture in it, and not smt you can craft for 2k off the MB. I want good old rare dungeon drops furniture back in my Mogstupidgrind, madge. The stuff in the mogstation has nothing to do with in game rewards you feel haven’t lived up to expectations. Also the moogle event always happens about 30 days before the major patches hit. It always has only one new item, usually cosmetic glamour stuff, never a new mount, and old stuff most players who have done most the content in the game don’t need anyway.
Edit: Carbuncle mounts are recolors sold separately, so it’s no surprise the umbrella mounts are too.
I dont blame you. All those reskins and reuse of ARR mobs for EW mounts is kinda boring.
Same. Best FF14 content in content drought is some kind of lalafell drama.

The monthly installment of something new at the store. Nothing new here.

Honest question for the SE defenders. IF SE can find people separate from the dev team to create cash shop items on such a regular basis, why can't they find people to make more items for the game? We have lots of systems in the game this could be added to. Mogtomes, Beast dailies, old Fates, new achievements, Eureka, Bozja, PvP, Golden saucer, Chocobo racing, TT card tournaments, Verminnion tounraments, hell just basic login points.
I am not saying close the cash shop. It is just this separate entity seems to be able to pump out items pretty well.

Most would love for things like these to be added for free in the game. However these two items were not made in house as anything that is originally made for the Chinese and Korean versions of the game aren't made in house. Even the ones that don't start there aren't made by those that make assets for things that get put into the game to be attached to something like V&C. These along with the Balloons and a lot of various clothing that gets put into the shop are being imported in a sense.Honest question for the SE defenders. I don't know or remember the details about how the deal with that stuff is as it's been many a year since we got told how it works. So, the main thing is they're probably not put into our version of the game for free cause of them starting out as a paid item. Now there are things that start on our side that probably should have been placed into the game for free like the Cruise Chaser mount. It should have either needed some bolts from Soul of the Creator part of Alexander, as something you got from Rival Wings achievements, or bought with Crystal Trophy/Wolf Marks.
Another example of why are these in the Cash Shop and not shoved directly into the game.are the maid and butler outfits as those were like Pizza emote, and the Butterfingers collaboration. Where each region had to buy something to get a code to then get said item. I still feel bad for the EU as twice they were made to buy magazines and magazine subscriptions. While also being left out on a more recent one. Then there's a fact that OSE tends to be SoL on most of this stuff.
The number of items unique to the cash shop is small compared to the number of items added to the game and rewarded through game play.Honest question for the SE defenders. They just stand out in your mind more because you have to go through the cash shop to get them.
List everything that's been added to the cash shop since start of Endwalker other than the seasonal event items that were in-game rewards in the first place. Then list all the rewards unique to Island Sanctuary that we can earn.
I bet the numbers aren't too different yet what we get from Island Sanctuary is just a small portion of the overall in-game rewards that have been added. And a lot of those cash shop items are going to be sharing models with items already in the game as well. Having the models already created cuts down the work that has to be done for the cash shop items considerably.
Are you serious LMAO, there's barely any item from the island sanctuary glam wise, are we really going to compare this to the giant amount of stuff from the mog station ? also the difference in quality ? Also what you say about the mog shop stuff having the same looks that are already in the game/sharing models is absolutely falseThe number of items unique to the cash shop is small compared to the number of items added to the game and rewarded through game play.

just stop trying to defend them, you're making yourself look like a fool, please
I know your main entertainment is to rage about how terrible SE is but please stop and be objective for once. Pull out some actual facts to compare. Are you serious LMAO, there's barely any item from the island sanctuary glam wise, are we really going to compare this to the giant amount of stuff from the mog station ? also the difference in quality ? We've gotten 4 glamour sets out of Island Sanctuary so far. Two were "Visions" rewards, two are sold by the cowrie vendor (one set with multiple leg choices, the other set with multiple body and leg choices). Those sets are unique to Island Sanctuary.
What glamours added to the online store are unique to the cash shop without being cosplay (which have been all-in-ones that players complain about) or KR/CN imports?
Island Sanctuary has given us 5 mounts. Online store has added 6 so far this expansion (at least 2 of them KR/CN imports).
More from Island Sanctuary - 2 minions, 2 Fashion Accessories, 2, hair styles, 2 Orchestrion rolls, a barding, TT card, 2 framer's kits and 7 housing furnishings.
Excluding seasonal event items that had been originally available as rewards in game, the online store has added 3 new emotes, 8 Orchestrion rolls, 1 housing furnishing.
So where is this overwhelming amount of items being added to the online store compared to what is being added as game play rewards? I only listed Island Sanctuary. Do I need to also start listing Dungeon rewards, trials rewards, raid rewards, treasure map rewards, FATE rewards, PvP rewards, Gold Saucer rewards, etc.?
If it weren't for the KR/CN glamour imports, cosplay sets that players can only seem to complain about, and the Orchestrion rolls of the orchestral arrangements of some of the game's BGM, the online store would be looking pretty sad. You'd have Fantasia, job boosts and story skips, dyes and old seasonal event items. There's not one heck of a lot there that is truly unique to the FFXIV online store.
