I'm not saying the masses are always right. I'm saying something must be right IF that many people are still enjoying it in the sense of a game. Youre trying to equate liking a video game to gambling to prove a point when those dont equate. I think Fortnite is a trash game, yet player count says otherwise. Theyre doing SOMETHING right thats keeping people coming back. XIV must be as well. Also sorry but Saint Rows wasn't liked by the masses so that comparison is rather dumb. That game flopped, xiv hasn't.

And Kosa I did say seem. I'm going based on what I've seen myself. And things do seem to have a far more positive spin over there compared to here. (That doesn't negate the existence of said other sites you mentioned to be clear).

Because the JP side of the FFXIV forum is basically dead. I'm not trying to be rude here, their forum is like 1/4th the engagement as the English side as far as I'm aware. Sometimes we even have 10x more engagement. So of course you're going to see generally more clashing.

They just don't post here. They have different social media they post in, just like we do. Unfortunately for us r/XIV and r/XIVDiscussion are so heavily moderated, they delete almost anything that talks bad about XIV. So it skews the 'Doom' on these forums overall. We know we can get away with it, regardless if any dev reads our posts. I don't care if a dev reads my post, I'm trying to engage with the community I pay a monthly sub for without being moderated by psychos.
