Small?? The splendour tools alone will take at least a week..btw Mr I want content and a grind...go get the splendour FSH relic. Ill have it soon. I already have the Ishgard rod..do you? Want a grind? Theres one for you.If you're only given a small amount of content
Oh yeah I see, as to you ( and others ) battle content is all that matters. There is loads to do..you just dont want to do it...or it "isnt worthy of you". This afternoon I actually had a player tell me that crafting was a waste of time and useless., you can spread it as thin as you like, but you still only have been given a small amount of content. 5 hours of gameplay (just a random number, not the actual amount) is still 5 hours of gameplay, even if you take 2 months to complete it. If I take 6 months to complete every Variant dungeon path, it's not suddenly more content than the person who did it in the first week.
Crafting.
Useless.
/facepalm.
So..Ill ask again.
WHAT SPECIFICALLY do you want in addition? Youve stated a problem, now lets hear what YOU want as a solution. Specifics please, if , as you say, this patch is "light on content" ( it isnt), what would YOU want?
What, to you, is "the kind of content that should be in this patch?"

I don't really get the amount of hate the patch got...
I mean, if I look at previous x.35 patches we got :
5.35
- Bozja (just the 4th reskin of diadem)
- First step of relic (just tomes farm)
- DOH/L relic tools
- NG+ chapters
4.35
- HoH (and that's it)
Diadem reskin #3 (part 2) came with 3.36 btw with MH event crossover trial.
3.35
- Palace of the Dead (and that's it)
2.35
- Crafter tribal quest
So... no X.35 patch gave that much.
If I compare we already got a new zone with island sanctuary and we also got a Potd to do.
So yeah, usually, X.35 patches are just those to introduce another XP grind for the x1 to (x+1)0 levels.
Potd, HoH, Diadem#4, and in this case Palace of the diadem reskin#3.
And we also got crafter DQ around the same timing as the other era.
And the 2nd step of relics.
Nothing unusual.
IS is literally non content, it's an absolute bore that people ignore a week in or less once they got the minuscule rewards that it gives.I don't really get the amount of hate the patch got...

Also it's the content in general in EW that is lacking, not only 6.3.5.
Also let's not talk about the comedy that is the new relic
I agree. For the first time in years I am unsubbing from the lack of new endgame content. They've reduced dungeons to one per patch with the same rinse/repeat mechanics. In ARR we used to get 3 dungeons per patch. No Mythic plus-style dungeons (for existing dungeons). No additions to critereon dungeon rewards (to bring life back to it and give people a reason to grind it- that oversized jacket was not worth running it for-terrible design). We have a crappy hunt system and no new areas (like Bozja) for our relics. There is so much potential for this game, but lately outside of the new Raids/Alliance Raid it has been very disappointing. SE has been getting away with the bare minimum for too long. The last patch had one of the most boring and filler MSQ quests ever.
Thats true and it does suck if thats actually the case but I also think that if this makes FFXVI the best it can be, I think that effort was worth it.I honestly think that putting the final touches on 16 factored into the current patch cycle. Not excusing Squenix for anything, but when they're pulling people from CBU III to help Yoshi P and CBU I with FF 16 somethings going to suffer.
My worry is if this continues to happen in the future will we see similar results.
Because we got to take things into perspective, FFXVI is supposed to be the next big main title of this series, we cant expect them to allocate all company resources into just one game as SE is known for a multitud of other IPs and franchises.
So people being salty about it while I can understand it if only FFXIV is the thing you care about, I would think its a bad business move to just stop every project and just focus on FFXIV. Thats the Blizzard way of handling IPs and I personally dont want SE to lean into that direction. I like other games besides FFXIV thank you very much
...how do you know they did this?but when they're pulling people from CBU III to help Yoshi P and CBU I with FF 16 somethings going to suffer.
The BTN and MIN ones can be grinded in about 2h. Sure, FSH might take longer... but a week in this would mean 10h of grinding. And sure, with RNG this might very likely be. But 14h of grinding for all tools isnt that much, it can be done in just 2 days if people dont have a job. And if they have a job, it can still be done in 3 days then (4-5h a day is well doable).
And for that grind you need to care about fishing to begin with. I think im not alone on stating that fishing is usualy not worth any effort (ocean fishing for scrips is generaly the only thing i would do - not because fishing is fun, but because i need scrips).
Because Diadem#3 and Diadem#4 were content ?
They could just have made it to "farm fate on the highest level zone" and it would have been the same instead of creating 2 content island on the basis of already *removed twice* fate farming zone because people didn't like it.
The slight relevance of those 2 zone are the isolated leveling that make it a slog at release thus not insta dead and crappy RNG gated drops of minions/mounts/whatev.
The new relic is the consequences of player actions.
Players had always complain that they were "forced" to replay older content for relics. Look at D#4 that makes you replay alliances raids over and over.
This time, they just said "pick your poison".
And I will have to disagree that EW is lacking. They try new type of content to see if it is appreciated or not. Criterion and variant DG, they revamped completly PVP to be more accessible, and even IS is testing grounds. It can even be seen as a test for a way to implement instanced housing.
I have played this game for almost 10 years and I can say that even if some patches are lighter and some periods of time that have "less", this situation is not exeptional.
Hell, I would even say that 8 and 24 men raids are far more original that we had in the past.
SB raids for example were low level fan service with boss from older titles that pop out of nowhere or FF XII """""tribute""""" (the worst ivalice game).
Here, at least we have something better that : "beep boop does not compute *throw kefka at you* and Ivalice 75% off.
And there is a solution you know: If you dislike the content or the game, don't play it. If enough people are don't play the content, it will show in their numbers and will adjust it in the future.
As long as you keep paying and playing something you seems to hate A LOT, no amount of forum posts will make them understand that you don't like it and if numbers are not droping, they won't change what you may not like.
Diadem and feast died like that so...
