Please show a example of patch cycles that didn't disaapoint you.

I have played many MMOs in my life, and this is consistent in all of them. Players rush through the new content as fast as they possibly can, even taking time off of work to do it, then they complain that there is no content.
In one of them it was possible to buy items in the cash shop to get you to max level in a day or so if you grinded it out. Then the people that did that would quit shortly after, saying there was nothing to do. Well yeah, you just skipped the ENTIRE GAME and complain about a lack of content.
It's almost like different people want different things, and that some people are going to complain if relics are a fate grind while others will if it's a tomestone dump. (this is not to say that both options are equally healthy for the game, just that different people will complain about different things) Personally, I would have liked it if the relic grind was an actual grind, and had it been an enjoyable one, you wouldn't see me here complaining about it.You bring in an air of negativity that implies it really doesn't matter what the dev team does. You will find something to complain about. If the hairstyle is short, it's another short hairstyle. If it's long, it clips or is another feminine hairdo. If the relic steps are extensive and uses FATEs, "OMG FATES! I don't even do those!" If it just uses tomestones, then it isn't grindy enough.
Also, I hate this idea that people should be compelled to announce when they like things or else they're 'too negative'. I'm not obligated to tell random strangers on a game forum that I love x, y, or z, nor is any of my criticism any less valid if I don't sugarcoat it with a "but I really liked this part". There are parts of the game I like, two examples would be Pandaemonium's story and raiding in general. However, I don't feel like I have an obligation to bring that up when I want to make a criticism on a forum designed for that very purpose. The forums are made for feedback, and I will give the feedback I wish to give. If SE amazes me with something, perhaps I'll make them a thread telling them that they did a good job, but I don't give praise freely in an attempt to seem less negative. I'm not here to be best friends with the developers, or you. I'm here to give honest and potentially negative feedback. If I feel like mentioning something I liked, I will do so when I feel it's the right occasion for doing so. Hopefully that will be 6.4.
It's the same mentality of the "just wait until next patch" defense. They're kicking the can down the road so they can ignore it now. If we ever reach that point where we can start complaining, it'll get just moved further down so they can use the same defense again.
Endwalker not being over does not make assessments on how it's gone so far unfair. If the last few patches cause it to take a 180, then people's opinions may be changed. It is not unfair to have an opinion on Endwalker's patches as of now as you can always change your mind later. But also, its not even done yet. We are only on Patch 6.35. This expansion wont conclude until...who knows....6.5 or 6.6? Maybe 6.7? This is when all of the content and the story will wrap up, THEN everyone can give a more fair assessment of Endwalker as an Expansion.
If you're only given a small amount of content, you can spread it as thin as you like, but you still only have been given a small amount of content. 5 hours of gameplay (just a random number, not the actual amount) is still 5 hours of gameplay, even if you take 2 months to complete it. If I take 6 months to complete every Variant dungeon path, it's not suddenly more content than the person who did it in the first week.

Well, tbh. If 3.3 released today, it would be bad. But still, it offered us new type of content that didnt changed to this day. Aso, void raids are much more interesting to me than current ones, but the thing is, small details like seeing Ozma from starting zone is something I miss from current devs.![]()

Imagine this being the same thing when Islands and Variant/Criterion dungeons gets further expanded to be something good.Well, tbh. If 3.3 released today, it would be bad. Lets face the facts, we've been getting new type on content and features. The problem atm is their initial lackluster implementation, which the devs have gone on record that they intend to build upon these introduced systems.
I honestly think that putting the final touches on 16 factored into the current patch cycle. Not excusing Squenix for anything, but when they're pulling people from CBU III to help Yoshi P and CBU I with FF 16 somethings going to suffer.
My worry is if this continues to happen in the future will we see similar results.
