Why did no one tear apart the indigenous Native American attire that's in game? You know, the New World set? You know why? Because Native Americans aren't looking for a payday, and most Native Americans are proud to have their culture and heritage presented in many forms, including names, attire and ways of life. It still baffles me to this day that someone wants to be proud of a culture and/or heritage but is blasphemed for it because they didn't come from it, yet put their blood, sweat and tears into it. There wasn't even a stink about it on these forums with the exception of the war bonnet, which I can understand. But - they never removed it. And, they shouldn't remove it. Nor should they remove this set.

Assuming its only about a payday is really gross. You are aware that the various native american tribes routinely hate to be lumped together as one singular tribe. The reason the war bonnet was highly discussed on here with an astounding 189 forum pages, is because originally that type of headdress is a Sioux and Cheyenne headdress. This headdress was only later adopted in the 1800s by other tribes but mostly as a show for the moronic tourists who assumed that all tribes must surely dress the same.

Yes a specific native american tribe is proud of it when that specific tribe is represented properly.

You claim to understand it, but as I demonstrated in this post, you don't understand it.

The reason I am fine with the war bonnet as a native american, is even though I am not Sioux or Cheyenne, is because I respect those who also play this game who do belong to those tribes who do want that representation.

And now to let you self-destruct with your own words:

It's not at all, that is why they would throw a fit about it. They even put it on their own site as an indication! What other reason if not for either monetary use and/or recognizing an intellectual property right (which doesn't exist on culture) would they complain?

These elements are Sámi cultural property and Square Enix has infringed on our rights, says President of The Saami Council, Áslat Holmberg.
Yep, money. They are not being paid for what they claim is their intellectual property. The only place their "rights" are recognized is Finland. The U.N. recognizes the 'fundamental and human rights' as Indigenous, just like they do every other person in the world. That doesn't mean their clothing fashion and color of clothing is a human right. SE is not denying them fundamental and human rights.

Keep trying white knight. Again, you can't copyright culture. It's not property.
