When did I say it was?
On the small chance you're not trolling...is Square Enix a charity now? Seriously?
Island Sanctuary is single-player automated spreadsheet simulator in a massively-multiplayer online RPG. Do you see the problem? We weren't drawn to FFXIV to manage mammets. It's a shame that multiplayer gameplay content was sacrificed for this.
Fully agreed! Rather than just letting your sub carry on without playing (as some have suggested), players should unsubscribe if they're not enjoying the game. If enough people do it, I'm sure the message will come across. I'm only using this game as a Second Life clone myself until I can find something better.
All I said is that you don't need to cancel your sub to take a break. I've spent five minutes a day in game for two months.
If you're that hard up on cash maybe you should reassess your finances.

One random person saying they're currently doing other things != anything in any fashion about the existence of content in the game. I've posted a bunch of times about the considerable "to-do" list of things I'm looking forward to in FFXIV that span ARR-era content (last ARR relic weapon) to EW (Criterion + IS), and yet I've only played once or twice in the past couple weeks because I cycled for a bit to the season end of Destiny 2 and a bit more of the Warcraft 3 Reforged campaign. All of that content will still be there when I cycle back to playing primarily FFXIV again...
